Have you ever done this?

My husband, two sons, and I are heading down to Gainesville tomorrow to celebrate a friend's wedding on Saturday night. My husband, in good sense, said that I shouldn't bother the people who we sold our house to down there last July, but I am too curious. I know it's only been eight months since we moved, but I still want to know that they didn't go crazy on the house in that span of time. It wouldn't be my business anyways, but have any of you ever gone back to your childhood homes, homes you've moved from, etc. and wanted to take a look around inside? My husband will win. I might drive by the place, but I won't ring the doorbell. I might knock though. ;)

it was really creepy when the people we bought our house from did, they knocked and demanded their door knocker back since it had their name on it and dissed the newly done kitchen

I'm not bold enough to actually go up there and knock on the door, but I am interested. We had new tile flooring put into the kitchen in 2011, and we removed the carpeting from all of the downstairs (minus extra bedroom/office) in early 2012, putting in matching tile throughout the whole first floor. Upstairs is the only carpeted area. Back in 2008, we put in new countertops in the kitchen, and half of the house has been newly painted in the last five years. They better keep that house the way it is, because we spent a ton of time and money into it! ;) Truthfully though, I just want to know what they did to the master bedroom; a place that obviously I would never ask to go in a stranger's house. :)

I would drive by my old house sometimes. I'm not gonna hate, the people who live there now made it look 10 x better lol. Well, from the outside anyway. It wasn't hard though because my family never really recovered to well after hurricane Isabel.

I'm really curious what it looks like inside. The people said we were welcome back anytime, but I'm sure they were just being nice. I miss that place everyday. Especially around this time of year where I could just walk out to my pier and fish all day.

I drove passed the house I lived in when I was a kid a bit ago, I was poor so it didn't look too good, but when I passed by it looked pretty decent, a bigger fence and better paint job on the house haha

Every time I come home for a game I drive by our old place. Either it's natural or we are all psycho. Either way, good company.

I drove by the house yesterday. I didn't go in. I didn't stop. I didn't make myself overly noticeable. The man was outside in his yard though. Half a notion, then decided against it. It'll always remain a mystery. ;)
