Wow, I wonder if he could come back at a reduced salary? I mean I know we have some guys we can develop and all but he was a real thumper in the backfield that really scared WRs and TEs going deep. Sad to see him go. I can imagine this will not be the last of the cuts to big names. Still cannot figure out the signing of Reed though(WR), we have much depth on the WR, even though they dont have a lot of playing time they have a lot of ceiling but I guess that will get worked out in training camp.

I was looking and I saw a lot of former raven safeties on the market. Lenard and Landry could both be cheaper options that are solid players. Also the safety market is so flooded that pollard could be back at a cheaper price if no one jumps on him.

Okay, so 3 key defensive players are now gone, BP being the one I liked the most. What this means, at least to me, is that the remaining safeties Ed Reed (who's still technically a Raven), Christian Thompson, Omar Brown, Emmanuel Cook, Anthony Levine, Sean Considine, James Ihedigbo, and anyone the team drafts will now be forced into action. It's necessary for depth.

The only thing that confuses me is why we did not trade him, even for a 7th round pick instead of releasing him, maybe no team will give up a pick for him ?. I am guessing something happened that we don`t know about yet.

Im excited to see what this brings to our team. I cant wait to see how Christian Thompson performs! He can hit as well, anybody remember his hit in the preseason? I sure do. Ozzie is trusting his young talent to go out on to the field and step up. Im excited to see what our young WR can do this season as well. Are we going to make the playoffs this year? I have absolutely no clue but you will bet I will be watching either way!

I could handle this better if they could have said at the press conference that we will be cutting older vets and fan favorites to build the Ravens for the future. The question is we will have to re due Flacco's deal in 3 years, my question is does Flacco play so bad he doesn't get extension, or do the Ravens have to start all over again finding a QB.
