I can understand that. I love Pollard but he might not be the same without Ed Reed back there. I am still shocked by this, especially since we just extended him. Seems like a really dumb move in hindsight.

Yeah, doing all this for Reed? Um, no thank you. I would have been ok with Reed walking. But we are actually losing decent long term players now.

I don't think those moves were made for any of those reasons.

The only sense I can make of any of this is this:

Ravens looking ahead, see a deep safety draft, see future salary cap restrictions and want to clear the cap now.
