Jake Delhomme for the Madden Cover

ESPN has released their madden cover vote and Jake Delhomme is a candidate this year. He has a tough matchup round 1, facing off against Joe Montana, so we need all the help we can get.

Let's make sure EA regrets listing Delhomme as a candidate.

I SO want this to happen. Nothing will be better than EA Sports celebrating the 25th anniversary of Madden by having Jake Delhomme on the cover. For a game that is played by gamers who only want to play with teams with a dual QB (such as Robert Griffin III, Colin Kaepernick or Michael Vick), nothing screams that better than average Jake Delhomme!

But, unfortunately, there's way too many people who vote for this contest with a serious mind. As if, they need have their favorite team represented to make a statement. Which is why a 49er is going to win, whether it is Joe Montana, Jerry Rice or Kaepernick (who will be the least likely one to win, just because there's also [i]those people [/i]who are still afraid of the "Madden curse"), just because they have got three candidates...

He's "average" because compared to the other QBs gamers play with in Madden, he's just... well, average. Solid ratings in Madden, but nothing that intriguing that wants you to play as Jake Delhomme.

But, on the field? Well, I honestly saw Delhomme better than being an average quarterback. I mean, he lead the 2003-04 Carolina Panthers to the Super Bowl and was pretty consistent for 5-to-6 years; so, yeah...

Yeah haha I was more referencing his later years with the Panthers and his failed stint with the Browns. But you're right, he wasn't awful.
