Ok, so I was saying this guy was gonna be good WEEKS ago, and every time he's on the field, he performs. We need to get him out there more. We should use a couple more 5 or 6 linebacker formations. Maybe we do, I don't pay enough attention to our personel in the heat of the game. But can you imagine having Haloti at nose tackle, then Ray, Bart, JJ, Suggs, Barnes and Jameel all running around behind him? that'd be one hell of a pass rush if we needed it.

Also, you'll be pleased to know that I have updated wikipedia:

You know something and I may be getting ahead of myself but with both Ray Lewis and Bart Scott potential FAs at the end of the year, I say we keep Ray Lewis, and release Bart Scott and put Jameel McClain in on the defense at Bart's place for next season. That way he can be used more and he can give that aging defense some youth. Plus with Ray Ray there, Jameel has a great mentor in Ray Lewis. I think that would be best for the team.

I'm not getting ahead of myself. Although Jameel has played VERY well, we have to see how we face off against the Redskins,Dallas & Steelers again. Dallas is starting to become a threat agian as they are sitting at 7-4 as we are in the NFC EAST.

Agreed but we also have Barnes (who to me looks like T-Sizzle 2.0) and the rookie Gooden for depth, I say let scott go, or even suggs if he demands tomuch money... we will be OK with our LB situation next year, cb and wr and ol are the real need posistions.

Jameel has done nothing but performed as well as Barnes when their on the field. I would like to see more of them, but we all know how great our linebacking core is, so no need to mess with what works

I really like Antwaan Barnes. He is always around the ball in special teams and he is cut from the same mold of DeMarcus Ware/Terrell Suggs.

I am not a big fan of JJ.... I think he looks alot better then he actually is because of the talent surrounding him. But yes this would be insane. Jameel Mcclain is insane out there. Watching that block in person

was CRAZY, I was screaming me lungs out.

McClain/Barnes are young enough that they'll be able to step in next year when some guys are starting to show signs of age. If this was baseball, these two would be highly touted prospect; unfortunately, you cannot trade them for anything at this point.

Funny, it seems I recall several people griping on here about him making the final roster cut over other players at the beginning of the season...

The future of our linebacking core is bright. Suggs, Barnes, McClain, JJ, Gooden, and Edgar Jones. Thats a good rotation right there. I think we need to find another ILB, keep Scott, or switch to a 4-3, because I am not really sure any of them besides Gooden could be an ILB.
