People neglect to understand this lol. None of our linebackers were good in coverage. Ellerbe was an average starting linebacker and we can fill his spot just like we have done in the past with Hartwell, Thomas, Boulware etc etc etc. And this was my stance from day one.

There are plenty of quality linebackers available in free agency right now. Let the Dolphins overpay for a UDFA we molded into a player. We will do the same thing again and again

Yeah look at how much they over paid for Mike Wallace. I'm sure if they were throwing out that kind of money toward Wallace, I bet they threw out a ton of money toward Ellerbe.

The losses are racking up now. I expected to lose Kruger, and I was just coming to terms with the idea of being without Boldin, but Ellerbe was the one guy I really thought we'd bring back. We cannot afford to lose Reed in all of this, too.
