You speak n such absolutes... I, for one said he was a bit of an injury concern and I'm not sure he can be healthy enough for a GIANT contract. I said this BEFORE the year was even over. You can search my posts if you like... Like I said, Bynes, McClain, and insrt veteran LB to battle for a starting job if El isnt on board. Would I love to have El back? Yup, but is he the one of the next group of greats at ILB? I dont think he is. Each time hes been asked to have a significant stretch of starts, hes either hurt or playing hurt. I really like the guy, but if hes comanding a giant contract... Good luck elswhere.

Let' face it people whatever the Dolphins offer is they are overpaying. We have the cap space to keep Ellerbe if we really wanted to. The fact that he is leaving tells me our FO feels he isn't worth that much. He'll just become yet another former Ravens defender who cashed in elsewhere and turned in an otherwise unremarkable career.
