I see it this way. Q gets to possibly win another ring. That would not happen here with the 2013 ravens. He was destined for release. Now he gets to play for a contender instead of sitting on the couch playing madden.
I also see the benefit of Ravens gaining a draft pick, albeit a 6th rounder, all I saw was a 7th round offer from Minnesota or we were gonna release him. Go Ozzie, get something from nothing. No one saw him getting 6m on the open market. Now SF has to pay.I do believe he will play hard and with a chip on his shoulder this year, however there is no guarantee they win, or he gets another ring.. However it works out, I salute you Q .. You were a true Raven.

Last night I was imagining what it will be like for Q his first day at practice and in the locker room. How will the conversations go?

"hey Quan, Whazzup? You know the niners got robbed in the SB, right? Refs stole it from us. What do you think?"

We won't really know for 2 or 3 years, but IMO today the 49ers won the trade. They got a game changing WR for next to nothing. However, wasn't Moss supposed to be that posession jump ball receiver last year? What happened to that? Plus they already have Crabtree. I think Boldin has more value in Baltimore than San Fran. But we'll see.

I agree with Jitamon. If SF gets back to the SB, it turns out to be a good deal for Q and the Niners. If they do not get back to the Big Dance, he would have been better to stay here. With the change in offensive philosophy since Cam's departure, Flacco will throw for more than 4,000 yards and Q would have at least 1,000 yards and 100 catches. It would have been his breakout year here and could have led to a really big payday when his contract with us ran out. Go figure!
