[News] Reports: Anquan Boldin Traded For Sixth-Round Pick

1,132 posts in this topic

really though..a sixth round pick? That is what you are saying Boldin was worth..A FREAKING SIX ROUND PICK! He was the Playoff MVP, or at lease in contention. Come on now, what kind of message does that send to him...horrible. Im really pissed about this one. I could tolerate Ed Reed leaving, but Not Anquan..not when this receiving core was just starting to reach its potential....horrid. Absolutely horrid.

Wow, just wow. He might be the hardest reciever to replace on the Ravens. I thought an extension with relief on this year's cap would have been talked about at the very least.

i like it... he was overpriced for the production we got until his last year... Old Derrick Mason out produced him and Mase was older than boldin is now... sure he and Flacco got hot in the playoffs.. but whats to say Flacco cant do that with another guy, cheaper, younger more dynamic... a real difference maker? and at this point in the offseason, its take what you can get... we were gonna just release him... why not get a 6th round pick for it?

I don't understand how we just got a 6th round pick, also.. The Seahawks traded a 1st round pick and then some for Percy Harvin. I know Percy is in his prime, but Q is still up there. And I mean, SF has A LOT of picks, Ravens couldn't have gotten a 2nd or a 3rd? I don't get it at all.

WHAT????? is right....
IDK... I get maybe we couldnt afford him ... and I get that a 6th round pick is better then nothing but are we serious...

If we were looking to trade BOLDIN>.... I feel like we could have done better then that for sure.

THis one hurts!

to brian 2377 Do you remember Doss DROPPING EVERYTHING THROW AT HEIM in the playoffs and SUPER BOWL. Doss doesn't come close to Boldin. Don't even put him near Boldins class. If you remember it took this front office 9 quarterbacks and EXCATLY how many wide receivers have we went through before they got wise and traded for Boldin.

Speechless. Absolutely speechless. I don't know what the front office was thinking, but if their intention was to trade our starting wide receiver to retain an always injured Dannelle Ellerbe and a rotational player in Kruger, it has to be one of the dumbest moves in franchise history. We aren't the Patriots who can just plug and play players into our system.

Everybody calm down, we knew going in to this that it was gonna be we resign him for a lower cap number or release him. At least this way we got something in return too. Let's all trust that Ozzie knows more than all of us like we always do.

How do you give you QB one of the biggest contracts in history then take away the guy who saved his butt many off times. And to top it off we only getting a 6th round pick???? 4th or 5th round at the least

I think you are joking too. He is definitely worth a 5th rounder AT MINIMUM. Given that he doesn't have speed, he's not going to command anything above a 4th rounder. We should have gotten a 5th and 6th rounder maybe....

But you just made it sound like he was a straight bum
