Seahawks acquire Percy Harvin from Vikings

I know I put this in the Free Agency thread but it will get lost with every other free agent signing that will be coming so it will have it's own thread. You read the title right, the Seahawks have traded for Percy Harvin. Per Jay Glazer & Adam Schefter.

And the rich get richer. Wonder what Minnesota got in return.

From Schefter, he says that it is expected to include the Seahawks 2013 1st Round Draft Pick which is 25.

If Percy stays healthy, this is a great, great move for them. He would be great for Wilson.

The Vikings better replace him with great weapons, otherwise they screwed Ponder over big time. It's time for them to validate taking him 12th overall, but they just traded away his best pass catcher. Great job.

I would think this puts Minny in the running for Tavon Austin. Patterson will be gone by then, and Keenan Allen probably won't be the difference maker on offense Harvin is, so they really have to consider taking Tavon now.

The Vikings now hold picks 23 AND 25 in the first round. The full deal is, Seahawks send their first and 7th in this year's draft along with a mid round pick in 2014.

Actually the Seahawks receivers all did pretty well last year. It would be exciting to watch Wilson scramble around, then flip it off to Harvin who scrambles around himself. Talk about a broken-play offense.

Remember when Harvin was worth a third round pick? Haaa, good times! Nice trade for both teams.

Vikings own two first round picks, I wouldn't be surprised if they move up to get one of the top talented players at the top of the draft.

It's certainly a possibility. They are flexible to do pretty much anything they want with them. Not saying they will but I wouldn't be surprised if they double dip on WRs.

They did good with their 2 first round picks last year. .... I think they stay put and target Austin & maybe Trufant or a Safety.

If the Vikings feel they can get one of the bigger names at WR in FA then I think this is a brilliant move.

I can see Jennings to the Vikings. Or Mike Wallace as it's rumored but I don't like that fit at all.

its good to be a seahawks fan right now . Maybe we will see them in next years superbowl. vikings definitely need weapons on offense but two first round picks should fix that .

With 2 first rounders they might trade up a little for patterson

Didn't Harvin want Calvin Johnson/Larry Fitzgerald money? Harvin is also reportedly selfish and difficult to work with and he is an injury risk. They gave up 3 draft picks including a first rounder to get him. I don't get it.

With WR's like Mike Wallace, Greg Jennings, and possibly Anquan Boldin available for less money and no draft picks I don't understand the thinking behind this trade.

I've always had a hunk for Seattle with the crowd and their d, then pete Carroll showed me he was an [profanity deleted], but they are really building something up their. The NFC is going to be close this year

[/quote]if only Carrol wasn't their head coach, I would probably be picking up a Seahawks jersey.
