Why doesnt journalists adjust for inflation when discussing the high paid players in history?

I mean money is only worth its financial value. But, you always hear sensationalist journalism in the NFL, using the phrase most monies EVAR.

Really are we in 3rd grade still? Is that the NFL demographics? Seems incapable for journalists to actually reach an intelligent audience in the NFL.

Most of the intelligent people I know don't care for the NFL. Claiming it to be a tranquilizer and a propaganda tool against the irresponsible commons.

Football is a complex team sport. There is alot going on, and journalists shouldn't hide the game behind sensationalism.
