Pitching! Oh wait...it's not there as usual

Tillman is literally the only pitcher I trust right now. Nobody in our bullpen is getting it done. Hunter, K Rod, and O'Day have all given up key runs on more than enough occasions lately for it to be a fluke. Tonight was no exception. If our starter does well the bullpen blows it. If our starter does poorly the bullpen is rock solid but it doesn't matter. If both are spot on than we don't hit. I'm glad the team is competitive but we traded away a lot of talent this year to make the playoffs not just be competitive.

Put a fork in em.... they're DONE. The division , even though was a long shot ... is lost. It's a good chance the wild card is done too. Once again... RISP... 0-5. Im really wondering if there's enough fire in the clubhouse? Does Buck light fire underneath asses when things get tough?

Everything I've read/heard it's the exact opposite. The clubhouse is extremely laid back which is the polar opposite of how Buck used to be before he stopped managing and went to ESPN for awhile.

Another thing that cost us was Roberts trying to Steal 3rd when Manny was up. Very next pitch he gets a home run.

Unless we somehow pull off wins in the next 13/15 or something like that, you can forget the playoffs.

 

I'll be tuning in to the Ravens preseason game tonight. No desire to watch the Orioles choke away another game.

But Wieters is one of the best catchers ever. What he does for the team is incredible. We should be happy with the hits he gets us.

ALL of them hit CC well. Buck sat Wiet because he's like 6-40 IIRC against CC. Casilla is hitting well above .300 against him. Valencia is swinging the bat well. We'll see if the numbers prove be benificial .

Same stuff different day... too much reliance on the HR with ZERO competency when it comes to small ball/situational hitting... Buck left Gonzo in too long (surprise surprise) and it ultimately cost us another game.

 

You can pretty much put the fork in us now. We basically need to go 21-8 the rest of the way to even have a shot, and there's no way that's happening with our pitching staff and lack of clutch/smart hitting.

 

Thank goodness the Ravens are back in 5 days!
