Figured I would beat the rush of the ton of post combine mocks that will comeout the next few days and get mine out of the way now.

In order to secure a QB...Arizona trades their 2nd(6th overall)...3rd(6th overall)....and 5th round pick for the Ravens 1st round pick and our 3rd round pick.

2nd- Kevin Minter ILB LSU- We need an ILB...no matter how crummy this class is. He did well at the combine, no glaring weaknesses. If you watch tape on Minter he does not play with 4.5 speed, he plays just about what he runs (4.8) but plays a little more electic, and persues runners well. I think Minter falls to the 2nd round due to height concerns he played at 6'2" in college but measured 2 inches shorter at the combine. In a weak ILB class I feel like it is safe to take one of the top prospects at the position, considering the Ravens top need is the ILB spot, I think by mid season...Minter could develop into a 3 down backer if not sooner. We cant trust Dennelle Ellerbe and Jameel Mcclain.

ILBs I think get drafted before Minter: Manti Te'o, Arthur Brown

2nd- Keenan Allen WR California- After the 49ers drafted Aj Jenkins in the 1st round last year, and considering the athletic group of WRs in the draft, I think a lot of teams will take reaches on receivers in the 2nd round...its a safe estimate. This is my pre- free agency/pro day draft...until Allen proves he can run in the 4.4s I could see a lot of teams pass on him. All of that aside Allen is one of the premier receivers in the draft, he had a Robert Woods-esque season being injured and all and lacked production...but doesnt post major injury concerns overall. He is something Flacco has never had- a big target out wide,a he is a great route runner and has good hands. I feel like he could start out wide from day 1. I think this is a good time to grab another receiver as Boldin could be a cap casualty...and is getting older, who could potentially become a star opposite Torrey...I think Keenan Allen falls.

WRs I think get drafted before Allen: Cordarrelle Patterson, Robert Woods, DeAndre Hopkins, Justin Hunter, Tavon Austin, Quinton Patton.

3rd- Bacarri Rambo FS Georgia- Considered a day 2 prospect...I think he falls to the early 3rd due to a deep class of safeties. He has some good instincts, good vision, and is a pretty good open field tackler. His coverage skills are decent but can improve as he develops and learns under Ed Reed for a year or 2...again this is my pre-free agency mock, there is a chance we lose Reed, if thats the case I would love to see us grab Matt Elam, or Eric Reid early on. For now Rambo's our guy.

Safeties I think get drafted before Rambo: Kenny Vaccaro, Matt Elam, Eric Reid, John Cyprien, Tony Jefferson, Phillip Thomas, Dj Swearinger.

4th(Comp)-Tank Carradine DE/OLB Florida State- 4th round is a perfect time to pounce on the steal of a lifetime. In my eyes he is better than Bjoern Werner who will likely be the first DE taken off the boards. When Carradine was healthy to begin the season he outplayed Werner and was looking like a top 5 pick until he tore his ACL. He showed great pass rushing skills and some run stopping attributes as well. I think he could go as late as the 5th round, but he is worth a 4th rounder in my opinion and could definitely fall there too. Whoever gets him will be very lucky, he is a steal, could fit the void of rush LB for us, and form a good tandem with Suggs.

4th- Chris Faulk OT LSU- Looked to be a first round pick after tearing his anterior and medial cruciate ligaments in September. He definitely has some talent at the position and if he heals well could push to become our future LT. He posted 25 bench press repetitons and sat out all the on the field drills. He could be another potential steal. Could fall this far due to the fact that it was a pretty serious injury, and teams are seriously questioning his health.

5th- Akeem Spence DT Illinois- Big bodied interior guy to man the trenches. 300lbs run stuffer, who is strong and shows some effort as an athletic guy running pretty good, and posting a 30 inch vertical, and a nearly 9 foot broad jump, so he showed flashes of athleticism for big dude. I think he canbecome a great NT for us.

5th- Nick Kasa TE Colarado- We have a good receiving TE in Dennis Pitta, with Billy Bajema a free agent, I feel like the Ravens could use another good blocker. he was a good blocker at Colarado who didnt have too much trouble seperating from defenders although he is not the fastest guy in the world. Posting 22 bench reps, and running a 4.7 40 time..he looks like he could fit the void of a blocking TE and develop inti a good receiver opposite Dennis Pitta...we could use an upgrade to Ed Dickson who isnt a great blocker and has questionable receiving

Next thing to analyze is free agency which starts in a few weeks, as well as Pro Days. A lot could still change and affect our draft strategy.

I also don't think Carradine gets out of the 2nd round. To use Dallas as an example again, they took Bruce Carter in the second round a couple years ago knowing they wouldn't get anything out of him his rookie year. Carradine projects to be an even better player than Carter.

I would really like this draft. Finally, a trade in a Ravens mock that seems realistic too me for once...bravo! lol

Minter and Rambo are two favorite prospects of mine. I like the Allen pick, but if Woods or a good DT is there, I'd rather get one of them.

Unfortuantly I see a team taking Tank earlier than then the 4th. I'd us like getting Faulk with original 4th. Maybe Mathieu in the 5th, and eventually a center.

I like it though. Hopefully the reports that say Barkley won't get past the Cardinals in the 1st aren't true though.

And if the Ravens stole Carradine, and Faulk in the later rounds it would be a great turnout, its not out of the realm of possibility.

It was tough for me to go with a late round DT...I just wanted to change it up from my previous mock a little, wouldnt mind taking one in the 2nd either...I would say its more realistic than taking a WR, but Keenan Allen would be a steal in the late 2nd

I don't exactly have a copy of the NFL Draft trade value chart in front of me but Arizona giving up a high 3rd AND 5th to move up 6 spots seems steep.

If their QB is still there I think they would.

The Cardinals, Bills, Jets, Raiders...maybe even Eagles could be in line for a QB in the 2nd round. That being said one of them...if not more will jump the gun and try and move up a few spots to pick up their QB. And a team like Arizona with an early 1st round pick...accompanied with the acquired late 1st rounder...they wont care to lose an early 3rd.

at first i was thinking that Id rather have Swearinger with the second of the 2nd round picks, and someone other than rambo, maybe a wr in the third. But if Allen who was projected early in the season as a top 15 pick is available then, I dont see how we could pass. And the fall off between swearinger and rambo isnt to great for a one round difference. Also would be an unbelievable steal if we got tank that late. Also really like spence, wouldnt mind you as a GM based on this haha

This made me laugh out loud.

Anyway...

I like all your picks. I do. There are other LBs I'd have over Minter. In this scenario, you have Brown & Te'o going before him. I don't really agree, but that's not debatable, lol. I think there's a chance no ILB goes in the 1st. But, if available, I'd go with Datone Jones in the 1st over Minter. Who do you think is gone before we pick?

I also love Rambo. He's really impressed me.

Jones wont make it...Ozzie has said we have o-linemen in house who can suffice for now...and has expressed concern about resigning Bryant Mckinnie. I have OT chris faulk in the 4th which is quite a steal who could be our future LT

Yea I think there could be a few players to fall to 32 so we may not be able to pass up on drafting 32nd. I think Datone Jones may get picked in the 20s..and I have a feeling someone will reach on Te'o. I see Arthur Brown going early 2nd before we pick in my trade scenario.

See: Courtney Upshaw

Datone isnt as out of shape as Courtney was...remember Uoshaw failed training camp conditioning tests. Also teams werent too sure where to play Upshaw...whereas Jones could be played in a multitude of ways. But I hear what you are saying.
