It's a shame the ABC site votes do not count. That is 5 votes of my votes Jacoby is losing and who knows how many others voted for him online. He needs every vote he can get. Luckily I voted on several phones. I have not been optimistic that he would win but he did at least get third place which I was not sure would happen based on how he was scored last night.

This instant dance is a bunch of bunk. They've never done it before and it's just another way for the judges to have even more influence in the final verdict and give the edge to the two PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED stars. It's like they know Jacoby dominated the fan voting and they're stealing it from him.

I'll say this. If Whines Ward had to go through this gauntlet the year he competed he wouldn't have survived past the quarterfinals.

Actually they've been doing the instant dance for several seasons now and every team always gets a 30 from the judges. I also believe Hines Ward did have to do the instant dance.

Glad Jacoby finished ahead of Aly, he was much better than her. In all fairness, Kellie probably was the best amateur followed by Jacoby. As far as I'm concerned, here are the results: 

 

1st: Kellie

2nd: Jacoby

3rd: Aly

4th: Ingo

5th - 12th? Everyone else.

 

Zendaya - Puleeeze...she doesn't even count. She's just a professional dancer who made a cameo appearance every week.

 

BTW - anyone notice her face when they announced Kellie won? priceless. Really, though, I don't have anything personally against her, but she had absolutely no business being cast as an amateur dancer on this show.

Zendaya should never have been on the show for several reasons in addition to being a professional. What company lets their own employees participate in their contests? Also, she really is too young. I did not enjoy watching a kid do adult dances. Frankly, it was creepy.

Being scored the lowest on Monday, Ravens fans and J. Jones fans helped Jacoby get to 3rd place. He had a long ways to climb up to the top. I was surprised to see Kellie win and I'm glad she did. She deserved it, especially with that Finale performance(s).

 

Congratulations Jacoby on reaching the finals! It wasn't meant to be, maybe another Superbowl title is... ;)

I was so proud of our guy!!! I will have to admit that I was broken hearted that he didn't make it to the final two, but extremely proud of Jacoby and Karina nonetheless!  They were absolutely amazing all season and to me he was the highlight of the show each week!!!  Proud of the Ravens Nation too...you guys and dolls rocked all season!!! Thank you!!!

This has been a continual frustration since the early seasons of DWTS.  I think it was in season 2 that one of the competitors had been a professional dancer before.  I'm also of the mindset that the point of the show should be to see how well an amateur can do, not someone who can pick up the dances in about 2 seconds because they have done similar ones before.

You're right, and I should have been more clear that what I had meant to say was that there were people who likely voted for Kellie because they remember her from Idol and it pushed her voting over the top to beat Zedanaya since they were neck and neck in points.
