This season should be the best yet! As someone who has read the books, I think I know where the season finale will leave off at.

It's going to be sad to see that scene play out. I believe that's the one he hated writing, and I know it ticked me off, especially since it looked like my favorite character was going to bite the dust in that book too. And he killed off my third favorite character in a different section of the book.

I liked seeing the ship and the Unsullied in the preview. I'm interested to see how the Jon Show and Mance bits play out on screen, especially since they've made Jon a lot more whiny in the show. I'm disappointed this season is splitting the third book in two. So much sweet stuff happens in that one, it's the best in the series so far.

Its a good thing they are splitting it up into 2 seasons, dude! This way they won't leave anything out!...and it buys GRRM to finish the last 2 books

Do you thing that scene will be the finale? That's what I'm betting on.

They should try to stretch it out as long as they can because it's all downhill (or wandering around aimlessly) after the third book

Have faith, he's going to get back at it for the last books in the series. A Feast for Crows was tough to read though, way too many characters I didn't need to know about.

Either the finale or episode 9. Either way, it will be in season 3 not season 4, I believe.

Oh man, the month of the premiere is upon us. I don't know if it's possible to be more excited for the return of a TV show. All the Storm of Swords material is going to be epic.

Incidentally, does HBO censor stuff on the live feed? I've never watched it live, as I used to have access to OnDemand.

I found the episode names for the season. Not sure which one the event occurs in, but I'm still guessing it's the finally. So much stuff to cover in Storm of Swords.

I know, but the point is the FCC looms large over live television.

They can't censor HBO.

Less than an hour to go I'm so pumped.

Daenerys has a slave army... ish is about to get real! Also, I'm curious to see what Joffrey's fiance is really about.

Wow, we're really veering off from the books this season. Not even trying to hide Ser Barristan's identity, that's no fun.

That was the former Guard Chief, right? The guy that stabbed the scorpion?

Yeah...I dont think they needed to hide his identity though for the purpose of the show

He was the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.

I would have preferred a little intrigue, he built up Dany's trust in the book before the big reveal. This was kinda like 'yo waddup Imma serve you'. The way they handled the whole Qarth sequence kinda messed up that storyline at the moment, since him and Strong Belwas were supposed to supply Dany's ships as a gift from Illyrio. In the show, they sold Xaro Xhoan Daxos' stuff for the ship. It changes the dynamic a bit.

While I'm alright with streamlining, and admittedly thought the show handled the Qarth sequence better overall than the book did, they might be veering to far off course.

As a New Jerseyan and a fan of the show, I commend Peter Dinklage for his excellent work and wish him luck!
