Ray will be an awesome sports analyst, I can't wait to see what he has to say about other teams. You know Ray wont tell you what you want to hear, he'll tell you how it is.

No it was foregone, but they couldn't make it official because he was still under contract with the Ravens.

I had heard about it but didn't know if it was legitimate or not. Regardless, it's going to be great television!

Does anyone know when he gets started? Like will he be an analyst for offseason events or will he start on the first Monday Night Football?

Ray Lewis is everywhere. I saw he was going to be the honorary starter for the Daytona 500 and at first thought, "What?" Then I realized, hold on .. it's Ray Lewis ... he's everywhere. :D

Wish he went over to Fox or CBS. I can't think of anytime that I actually watch ESPN's coverage of games.

I'm sorry but when I saw the title of this post, all I could think of was the scene in the beginning of Robin Hood, Men In Tights

when Robin runs off the Sheriff's men and one turns and says, "You haven't seen the last of us." and Robin shoots the multi-arrow that pins him to the tree and then he says, "You've seen the last of us."

 Sorry...couldn't help myself. :lolpoof:

"Being a geek is all about being honest about what you enjoy and not being afraid to demonstrate that affection. It means never having to play it cool about how much you like something. It’s basically a license to proudly emote on a somewhat childish level rather than behave like a supposed adult. Being a geek is extremely liberating.”--Simon Pegg

Wonder if in the future he might consider coaching. I know he doesn't want to now.

come on ray, you deserve better than ESPN. most terrible people in sports. i respect his decision because it probably was the only one to give him flexibility for his kids but i'm gonna hate having to hear those idiots even more now...

does anyone know if hes on SC or just MNF? i hope its just MNF.

I'm also kind of disappointed it's ESPN. I don't even watch ESPN anymore with the exception of maybe Baseball Tonight. He would be a so much better fit on the NFL Network. All around better coverage, better camera work and better talking heads.

I googled it and saw some articles and a few pictures.

It was nice to read an article about Ray and not see any if the following:

Mitch Ross
Atlanta 2000
Mike Florio

agreed. I like the NFL Network crew a lot better. And he'd have more chemistry with them. I like TJ and Boomer, but thats about it. Keyshawn just watches the game n Sundays and doesn't give you any true insight. Also ESPN's the same network that pays Skip Bayless. Hopefully Ray never makes his way over to First Take.

Also the NFL network crew for the most part is compromised of Elite former players. You don't see Trent Dilfer or Merril Hodge or Tim Hassleback walking around acting like they were Pro Bowlers.

It will be pretty funny when they let Ray conduct the sit down interviews with the likes of Brady, Manning, etc...
