The studio that did The Walking Dead Games and (I believe) The Wolf Among Us is supposedly doing a Game of Thrones game.  I haven't gotten around to The Walking Dead, but my understanding is that this is a good thing.

Yeah they're also doing a Borderlands game.

I've mainly been a PC gamer, and from what I've seen/read/heard regarding XB1 and PS4, that's not going to change anytime soon... BF4 on PC is AMAZING. While PC gaming can be more costly, depending on how crazy your rig is, there's just something special about it.

Some fantastic news for XBO owners. MS acquired the rights to the Gears of Wars franchise and brought over the director of production of the series from Epic to work on it with Black Tusk. There were some questions that Epic wasn't interested in continuing the franchise and if they did it would be multiplatform. MS basically ensured that the series will continue and it will be exclusive to the Xbox One.

Don't know about you guys but this is awesome news for me considering Gears of War was arguably my favorite multiplayer shooter of last generation. Very happy that the series is continuing and that I bought an Xbox One.

Well here we are 6 months after the new systems came out. Let's hear it, for those who have either one, was it a good purchase? What do you think overall of the system, graphics, etc?

I'm hoping to have a PS4 by the time Madden comes out, if not by the end of the year.

There's still nothing out worth playing IMO, I haven't taken the plunge.  I expected a price drop for at least the Xbox One to be announced at E3 though, that will make it more tempting.

I have both of them and up until this point, the Xbox One has been by far the better buy. inFAMOUS and Resogun was a blast to play and the PS4 has the superior multiplatform games, but the Xbox One has treated me to Titanfall, Killer Instinct, Dead Rising 3, Peggle 2, and Ryse. I've put enough time in Titanfall and Killer Instinct alone and I still haven't tried Garden Warfare or Forza 5.

The PS4 will most likely get much better but since I've had both, I've put more time into my Xbox One. Excited for its future too with a ton of great exclusives already rumored to be coming and a lot already coming.

I have the PS4, I like quite a lot; much more than any Xbox product I've ever owned. Wont be till next year that I can fully get an idea of what the system will be. Next gen just needs more games in general.

Our Xbox = red ring of death.

The kids are pretty miffed, but I'm excited because now I can cancel my "Watchdogs" pre-order.

The Kinect is getting dropped.  I'm glad I waited.

Microsoft getting desperate. Sony is... well I need to do my best Shannon Sharpe impersonation...

"President, we need the National Guard, we need as many men as you can spare cause we are killing Microsoft".

Sums up the console wars for next gen.

Yeah, they should've done that from the get go. That being said they are kind of abandoning the kinect.

I wouldn't feel sorry for them, it's not like Microsoft couldn't absorb the hit it would take to sell the One for $400 with the Kinect.  Most of the money is made on software sales anyway.  The Kinect is a phenomenal piece of technology, it's just not used well for games.  Outside of Dance Central, I haven't heard anything good about a Kinect game, and they don't even have a version for the One yet.

Microsoft isn't out of the 'console war' despite what the Sony fanboys might say.  The only territory that really matters for them in the US, and Halo 5 this November will be a major boost to for them.

Nobody should want either Sony or Microsoft to fail. Competition is good for the consumer. If Sony wasn't doing so well there is no way Microsoft gives in and its not just the Kinect. They also did away with the ridiculous Xbox Live Gold pay wall for Netflix and all the free games with PS+ is forcing Microsoft to follow suit. And that doesn't even include all the DRM crap Microsoft tried to jam down our throats.

And now they announce Halo 5 for 2015.  That's when I figured it would come out, but I saw otherwise.

So is Destiny supposed to be a better version of Defiance?

A friend of mine got in to the Alpha. He had nothing but positive things to say about it.

I dunno if I want to buy it.  I haven't seen online co-op core experiences really work on console yet.  And I'm really upset with Bungie for doing everything but completely abandon their core fans for Sony.  If you want to break off fine, if you want to go multiplatform it's all good, but remember who made you what you are.

As someone who believes money talks, I have to buy this game as positive reinforcement for doing the right thing.

So you didn't buy Forza 5?

Nope.  I also don't have an Xbox One yet, but I wouldn't have bought Forza 5.  Wanting me to pay more money when I just dropped $60 is a load of crap.  FTP has no place in AAA titles, but the business people always want to grab every last cent they can and try to have all the monies.  It's important for Xbox owners to support this game over Ubisoft's The Club or whatever it's call since that is a pay to win title, in essence.

Yeah Microtransactions are the worst. I also dislike what EA has done. For example in the BF games you can pay $5 to get all of the weapons for a certain class. Its a damn shame because I really love that series.

Doesn't every EA game have microtransactions now?  The evil empire is the worst.

For the most part yeah lol. I'm going to laugh when I open DA: Inquisition and find out that there is an in game marketplace that allows you to pay for any armor set and weapon in the game.

Yeah the whole pay for extra help stuff kinda turns me off about a lot of games, the people who go spend a ton now get a huge upper hand.

It's because game companies aren't run by gamers, they're run by business people, and business people ruin everything.

Yeah I agree with you there, everything becomes about the money.
