I would get it now but I have a trip to New Orleans to save up for in April and I'll probably get the PS4 sometime next year.

Wrestlemania? =D

Wrestlemania? =D

YES! YES! YES!

Plus I figure by April there would be enough reviews out to where I can determine if it is worth it or not.

I'm pleased with Microsoft's changes but I'm still waiting to buy a new console. I want the special edition Halo version of the console this time.

Microsoft's changes along with their launch lineup (which is arguably better than the PS4's lineup) made me preorder one.

Plus, Titanfall looks beyond amazing. Cannot miss out on that game when it comes next spring.

PS4 looks pretty good after gamescom. I would consider the Xbox one but the launch titles simply don't appeal to me; I mean Ryse is basically QTEs the game. Not to mention Halo has been very meh as of late. Still going to wait on upgrading though.

I'm getting the PS4 to start with.  I've been informed of some of the projects they are working on that haven't been announced yet.  IF they turn out as well as they claim, Ryse will be an after thought to me.  I will definitely be getting the Xbox 1 next year in time for Titanfall.

I don't understand this Titanfall hype.  It looks like a generic shooter with mechs, which has been done before.

Almost everyone who has played it has enjoyed it immensely. It looks like a ton of fun, IMO.

Xbox One coming November 22nd. One week after the PS4.

Misstep after misstep for Microsoft. They really needed to get that week head start.

Don't think that one week is going to matter much in the long run. Both systems will likely sell very well this holiday season.

Been a PS gamer all my life (owned a 360 before trading it in for the PS4 preorder). Can't wait for all the stable of games from AAA to indies to come out.   :)

In saying that, Ryse on the XBone looks good (I'm probably only one of the few people that think this :P). At least the SP does. The MP looks janky as hell! Surprised if that part of the game is finished at launch. Will proba only stick to one console this go around, unless I pick up an XB1 cheap at the tail end.

Nextgen can't come soon enough.

Here's a look at how far graphics have come in the past generation.  I remember Perfect Dark Zero being a HORRIBLE game, but it's really something to see its screenshots next to BioShock Infinite.

I never got a PS3 or XBox 360, although I'm definitely more a Playstation guy than Microsoft... I'll take a wait-and-see approach with this generation's offerings, but I'm leaning in the PS4 direction further down the road.

Are preorder people regretting the preorder?  Seems like the launch to near-launch titles that were somewhat interesting have been pushed back.  The 360 at least had CoD2 to be excited about, but there's honestly not a single game coming out at launch for either system that I'm interested in.  As bad as some of the launch titles on the last generation were (Perfect Dark Zero, oh how you wasted my money) I'm probably just a bit more wary of where my cash is going.

I'm a bit disappointed on the PS4 side of things (mainly interested in Killzone: Shadowfall and on the fence about Knack)  but I'm excited for what's coming for the XBO. Ryse continues to look more impressive with every video that Crytek releases (best looking game next-gen game graphically) and both Dead Rising 3 and Forza 5 look awesome. Killer Instinct and Crimson Dragon look pretty good as well.

What's interesting is that Ryse only runs on 900p.  It might seem like a minor deal, but if the XBO is so underpowered that it can't run titles in 1080p that's a reason to make the PS4 my main system of the generation, which would be quite a turn since I've been an Xbox guy for two generations.  The thing that bothers me about the PS4 is that whole game install thing when the HDD is so small and game files already large and only going to get larger.

But yeah, I think XBO's big touted launch title is Forza, and I don't know anyone who plays racing games anymore.  I've seen NBA 2k14 touted as the cross platform title that's impressive, and it very well could be, but that's not something that makes me want to wait in line for hours to get one of these things.

The PS4 was going to be my main system regardless (I'm mainly a Sony guy) but if I were only an Xbox fan, I personally wouldn't be discouraged. 1080p may be more common on the PS4 but the fact that the XBO can output graphics that look as good as Ryse, that leaves a lot to be optimistic about.

Also, it's being reported not to expect huge graphical differences long-term among third-party games due to the fact that developers will utilize the XBO's hardware more efficiently over time (considering that it has more headaches than the PS4 such as the ESRAM). Both consoles will be fine.

I dont understand what youre saying here. It has been widely reported that the Dev groups have a much easier task this time around, developing games for both systems as theyre more alike then different....when comparing them to the previous platforms.

They are but it has also been reported numerous amounts of times that the XBO is more difficult to develop for between the two due to having to utilize the ESRAM inside it. Some sources have even gone as far as calling it a "bottleneck". However, it's supposedly will get better over time according to the Kotaku article posted today.

PS4 is having all kinds of issues.......Mainly Sony Design and Software issues Go Sony ......

Sony has never been able to do software and interfaces. They're a hardware company.

I still don't know why people don't wait a while before buying these new consoles... there are too many bugs/issues to work out, not to mention the ridiculous cost.

Not to say it's not great to be some of the first to get your hands on one, it just seems like a better idea to wait a bit.

If there was a killer title worth getting I'd be more interested.  Like if XBO was launching with Halo 5 I'd be in line right now with the PS4 nuts just to be safe for next week.  Heck I'd even think about doing it if Uncharted 4 was a PS4 launch title.  But there's really nothing to be excited about.

And I did go to Best Buy today to laugh at the people in line.
