Both the Wii U Gamepad and the Wii U Pro Controller are excellent controllers. Despite the Gamepad's size, it's comfortable to hold in your hand and is not even heavy. I own both. The only thing wrong with the Gamepad is that the battery dies FAR too quick.

The PS4 controller is bigger due to the complaints the PS3 controller got for being too small. Doesn't matter to me because I have pretty large hands anyway. Either way, I hope the PS4 controller follows the Wii U Pro Controller's battery life. That thing lasts for 80 hours on a single charge. Beyond impressive.

The gamepad is good. That pro controller is just brilliant. I love it.

That PS4 controller looks hideous...

Edit: to be fair the Xbox one isn't much better, they are both so big an clunky looking...

I actually love the look of it and Ive heard that it is better than the Xbox one's controller. Not to mention I like the look of the PS4 console over the DVD VCR combo called the Xbox one.

The One's controller looks basically the same, but the PS4's definitely looks larger. Honestly, the bigger the better for me. I was a fan of the Duke, and the 360 is my favorite controller. I have really big hands though, so I might not be the norm. The Dualshock right now is too small for my hands.

The DS4 is significantly larger than the DS1-3.

Good thing there has been nothing but good things said about the Dualshock 4 by people who got their hands on it. Can't wait to use it.

Yeah, Sony got their ish together. In fact Ive heard from most people that the controller is actually better than the Xbox one's controller. I think the console looks awesome as well, I like the sleekness.

I'll be honest, when you put them side by side I don't see much difference in the appearance of the two consoles, I think which ever one you like better is going "look" better to you.

Oh no doubt I just like the simplicity of the PS4 and not to mention it is tiny. Love how Sony was able to engineer it so that the console doesn't require a power brick.

Still love the look of the fat PS3. It was huge but it was so sexy.

That thing was a behemoth, but yeah it was pretty sexy. My only complaint was the Spiderman trilogy font "playstation 3" on the front.

My concern with something that small and compact is air circulation, some laptops can now get down right blistering because they are so compact that they can't get any air to cool them.

The PS4 vents on the back are huge.

And Mark Cerny, the PS4 architect said that the reason the PS4 is so small is because power consumption is less. Meaning the PS4 was designed so that it won't overheat.

Yeah I remember I was on a tech forum after e3 and one of the posters said that the PS4 should run fairly cool. Obviously he had a far more detailed explanation as to why this is but I don't remember.

As someone who has overheated his PS3 and 360 multiple times, and burnt up a Macbook, I would not complain about such things.

I had already viewed the controllers but it appears that Sony "solved" the gripes with their PS3 controller with the new one. I say "solved" because I've never once had a problem using one but I know lots of people complained because it was 1) "too small" and 2) apparently people had trouble with the convex analog sticks with grip. I understand the first gripe for people with large hands but never once have my thumbs "slipped" off of the analogs as the common complaint was. If you're hands are sweating that much while gaming, then something tells me its time to take a break. At least I wont have to hear that silly complaint anymore with concave analog sticks.

The biggest complaint I had about the PS3 controller were the triggers. They were beyond a joke compared to the 360's triggers. The slippery analogs were somewhat an issue at times as well. Other than that, I've been primarily a Playstation gamer so everything else felt natural. I'm glad they fixed the triggers and analogs.

Yeah, the shoulder buttons on the ps3 could definitely have benefitted from some more "spring" I agree, any games that incorporated pressure sensitivity on those triggers could definitely be a problem sometimes. I just personally didn't have as many problems as others did with them. I do like how the ps4 controller looks overall.

The Dualshock 4 is pretty awesome.

Microsoft released the first Xbox One unboxing video.

I'm pretty sure it has been said 1000 times, but that thing is enormous. Controller looks fantastic and I'm glad Microsoft did another 180 and decided to include a headset. The packaging is top notch as well.

They're trying to match Microsoft and Gamestop's promotion when you can get the next-gen version of a game you previously bought for $10.

Glad I preordered my PS4 back in June. Can't wait for it to release. I'll have it and the X1 before the year is up.
