Old man Lebeau talking bout the stillers would have won if it wasn't for injury because they beat us regular season and they have the talent blah blah blah, lol.

Reminds me of 2001 when we said we were the best defense of all times and then the stillers organization had a fit and the rivalry kick-offed in full swing led by hines ward.

When the steelers won two superbowls last decade we didn't act threatened....but motivation is motivation and a Ravens superbowl win sparked the steelers back to glory for 7yrs. Hopefully are win doesn't spark the Stillers this decade.

I guess we were lucky to go the entire year injury-free. Remarkable when you think about it. Right Ray, Suggs, Ngata, Webb, Yanda, Ellerbe, McClain, Jimmy Smith, Bernard Pollard, David Reed, Jah Reid, and Ryan McBean? Nah. Luck of the draw.

why do people continue to fight/bicker/complain over this issue, nothing can change it, whatever happened this past season, happened,. whatever happened in the postseason.. happened. we HAPPENED to handle adversity the best and we HAPPEN to win it all. grow up. get over it. and move on. sorry Steelers. but we handled our losses with Dignity, I think you should too :smilies-21464: :th_thKumbiyah:

It sucks to watch a team you hate win the Super Bowl. It's worse to watch a rival. It's terrible to watch a team you won't admit you hate who is your rival win the Super Bowl. We know the pain. Happened to us twice in the past decade. About time they tasted this.

They act like they were the only team injured. Haha

steelers appear to be in turmoil. People calling out lamar woodley for being out of shape....a coach making excuses instead of next-man up, mike wallace contract issues....

But I understand how they want to steal our spotlight with any headline possible....

A Ravens Superbowl and/or Ravens success motivates the steelers organization.....but i think we can weather the storm unlike after 2001.

coach is suppose to be next man up mantality. Tomlin can't approve of that interview...but Dick is old so Tomlin is probably gonna let that slide.

That's y Dick is only qualified to be DC, not HC cuz he can't manage any team.....

This sounds like Dick wants to vent for going 8-and-8 so he focuses on the Ravens. You know what he's really thinking. "Defense ranked 1st in pass, 2nd in run, gave up on 19.6 points per game and we finish .500?!! Somebody needs to be fired!"

Poor Dick.
Ben wasn't such a hot item this season. Although you'd never know it from the way the media crawled up his rump, as usual.

As easy as it is to rip Lebeau (and now Antonio Brown for agreeing) for what he said, it isn't false either. Our team did get healthy in time and their team did not and really, that was the big difference in their 2012 seasons. So while it does come across as sour grapes to us, I don't have a problem with what their stance is here. Lord knows our fanbase has pulled similar schticks in the past concerning our rivals' success.

If they want to play this game why don't we ask them how healthy the Ravens were in 08 during the AFCCG. Suggs played with essentially 1 arm as did Mason. Our starting cbs I think were Frank Walker and Fabian Washington or Evans Oglesby. Still hung with them until the Flacco pick 6. Who cares, Cams gone and the team can only get better offensively after winning the SB. Smooth sailing right now.

This. That is what originally caught my eye when I was reading the sports sites earlier and saw his quote. This is something that fans say .... even players. But coaches? Really? Especially an old school coach. Doesn't come off well.

It isn't true. They only needed to win those games they lost at the end of the season. It wasn't defense. It wasn't injuries. It was Big Ben and two very big late game interceptions which handed them two losses. So yeah, I'm going to rip LaBeau and Brown for making stuff up. Keep it real.

Thank you! Now look at the fans whining at the bottom; they're the worst thing about that team.

but 08 got the hype machine rolling for flacco at a local level. People were not fully sold on flacco...but I was happy he was better than boller and had a mean deep ball! we saw hope and change in 08 :-) and flacco sure did deliver!!!! 08 was about the future and knowing we would make it back to the AFCCG and win it one day and maybe get a superbowl win in flaccos career.
