For someone who asked about which pick it is if you have two in that round.

It has to be your original pick. You cannot place a bid on someone using traded pick. Must be your own pick. If you don't have one you can't do it. I thought that was common knowledge.

I know I asked once before. Thanks for clarifying. I really did not remember that as an NFL rule. I remembered hearing it had to be an original pick a while ago, but not that you cannot bid if you do not have an original pick. Makes sense, though. Teams could manipulate that very easily.

Actually i am just mad at myself, I should have tendered him a second round, that was my biggest mistake so far. I don't like that you like all the guys I like though because you have all the money to get them.

Haha, yeah. You can always match. I mean, Sam Shields is a good CB who has a lot of potential. You could always draft a guy but they may not be as productive. Oh....the intricacies of bidding on and allowing an RFA to walk. Ahhh....

Just match it, he doesn't have to beat it. That's how RFA works in real life, a team makes a bid and then the original team has to match that offer.

Interesting point, Oakland does have a 2nd round pick but it is not their original pick. I am not sure how that works. I didnt know that teams had to give away their original pick, but someone apparently said that is the case.
