Ravens increasing Ticket prices

I'm not so sure. We currently have the 14th highest stadium capacity in the league. I don't think the city of Baltimore would want the Ravens to move out of the city, and if they do, I don't really know where they'd go.
is that really the only location in bmore for a stadium?

Keep in mind a lot of the small market teams (JAC, KC, AZ) suck, which helps to keep their prices perpetually down.
What are you trying to point out....? Im not complaining about the price, until the product takes a quality hit... and it hasn't.

yea bit of a pipe dream. Major surgery is going to have to happen eventually or else they will move to a new location and build a new one though.
I think the Ravens have a 30 year deal for the current stadium. They're not going anywhere.

They still need better reception for cell phones or Free WiFi... this was bound to happen at some point, and the Ravens said that this increase was decided months ago, before we won the Super Bowl. Now, it's more justified lol, and besides, as others have already pointed out, this is the first increase in 4 seasons. Let's hope that trend continues...
Got to agree, the wireless reception is horrible.

What happened to all these plans to add "Red Zone" in stadium seats. Or screens so we can view stats? Hell, even an out-of-town scoreboard that shows all the scores at once since we can't get reliable reception in a stadium full of other people trying to get wireless signal.

Most of the "renovations" they listed were of no importance to me. "signing, stores, etc.?" Ummm, okay? Sure, I'd like better video boards. But the rest sounded kind of useless to the regular fan.

If you're trying to keep me coming to games instead of watching at home, better add those features that were talked about being a league-wide mission a couple years ago.

As for the price increase. After 4 years of no increase(all of which included playoff trips), and a Super Bowl championship... I can't really complain about a small increase. I still don't think PSL holders should be forced to pay FULL PRICE for PRESEASON tickets. Either let us decline the tickets entirely, or give us a significant discount on those two games.

IMO, the fan experience at The Bank is top notch. Does it really matter to anyone without season tickets? Us who buy on open market get yanked hard anyhow. Besides, Steve hasn't raised prices in a few years and we just won the Super Bowl. We're victim of great success. We're still moderatly priced within the NFL.
Moderately priced for a winning team, yes. The tickets in KC are half the price of tickets here for the same general seating. But who would want to go to a Chiefs game?

I'm still going to go several games a season . I'm addicted love going to the games the whole event, tailgating, overpriced food, parking nightmares ...and smack talking to fans of visiting teams.

Id have to see this "half the price" comparison to believe it. Im not saying it's not, it just seems unlikely.

Well how about a scoreboard in general....2 big video boards and I couldn't find a score/stat/down nothing...horrible...even high school football fields have scoreboards

Score, downs, etc are on the sides of the stadium - they're there. I do agree that I would like to see them more prominent, though.

True, the Ravens have held off on raising prices for 4 years. True, success increases demand. But consider this. The Ravens already rank about 6th in highest ticket price. We always sell out so ownership does not have to account for unsold seats. Finally, we won the SB which means a big payday for the team. All good reasons to not increase prices and maybe share some of the financial love with the loyal paying fans and DECREASE prices a bit.

How about know the layout of the stadium? I can't really say it any better then that.. There's a scoreboard, with down and distance . I think it could be better... but it's there. It would be really easy for them to create a skin on the RavenVision screens though .

Cell reception for Verizon "the official provider" of the Baltimore Ravens, is good. I watch REDZONE in the stadium.

This is laughable.... DECREASE the prices? BTW, we're not the sixth most.
If we were though, I wouldn't care... We are a top 5 org, that has had 5 straight playoff appearances, capped off with a Super Bowl.

Something that should be greatly improved are the concessions! Stale pretzels, Cold Nachos, and hotdogs with cracker like bread kills it for me.

is that really the only location in bmore for a stadium?
Nah, not necessarily, but they'd have to tear down a ton of stuff to put it anywhere else. They could feasibly build it somewhere to the Southeast of it's current location, but then you'd have to deal with a ton of eminent domain issues, and I think they like it's proximity to Camden Yards. I also am a big fan of how you can drive into the city on 295 and the stadium is just looming over you...very imposing and impressive.

What they really need to do is build a large parking garage in one of the current stadium parking lots. I never ever ever park at the stadium because pricing is through the roof. Driving into downtown Baltimore, you can park for $20 in a parking garage compared to paying $50 - $70+ for parking further away at one of the official parking lots. That makes no sense to me.

You can google the prices. That is what I did. Although I cannot speak for the face value only for what a ticket was going for in comparable seating for the Ravens away game in KC. Face value of a ticket in section 119 at the bank (Browns game) was 90 dollars. A comparable seat in KC was going for 50. A lot of them were going for 50.

Unfortunately if they improve the concessions then they raise the prices of them too. Better chow would be nice though.

Where??!!

I've only been to one Ravens game (indy wildcard) but I did not see one indication of the score/down...the only thing I saw were two huge videoscreens..and a playclock directly to the side of it...now unless there was some sort of error that day there's no explanation to not have that extremely visible

The down and distance, the TOs remaining, all that stuff is prominently displayed on signage along the sideline upper decks. Once you spot it there's no problem reading it and following it. Really, even with my bad eyes I have no problem.

Check the store -- 6th in ticket prices in 2011 http://www.baltimore...0,2297062.story

Decreasing prices? Unlikley, but why call it laughable? Players get their rings (which cost around $15,000 I hear) and bonuses (in addition to often big salaries) and owners andcoaches get their bonuses for winning the SB. Why is is laughable to think something should go back to the people who are helping to pay the salaries? If 2011 ticket prices were reduced across the board by $5, it would cost the team about $3.5 million (assumeing about 71,000 seats and 10 games). That's a drop in the bucket in my opinion.

So call me laughable if you like, but I know where the scoreboard is!

Maybe you should spend more time watching the game than worrying about food. You know you have the option to bring food into the stadium.

Oh, come on now. Stop complaining. We went to the playoffs 5-years in a row! We won a Super Bowl! We used to raise prices every two years! We haven't done so in years. Some of you guys whine way too much. If you don't like the prices then just don't go. If I can't afford the game, I just don't go period. I'll watch it on TV.

I mean, this is the silliest thing about which anyone can complain. This is a business, guys. Chipotle raised prices. Heck, even Subway made changes to the $5 footlong.

Some of you want something for nothing. Seriously. I have no problem with the increase. I'm not rich or anything but costs are rising everywhere. Everyone raises prices. Not just the NFL. We didn't raise prices after the recession.

Its on either side of the field, I think aroun the 30 yard mark on the banner screens. I was at that game, they were working fine.

Its laughable because its NEVER been practiced before... It goes against sound judgement for an organization. Think about what you're asking for.. Cheaper prices from ( judging from the SB Win) the hottest team in the league. Also, when did I ever say I DIDNT know where the scoreboard is>?

Yeah, teams dont set the prices of the open market, although open market or face value, it is still the same dollars. Particularly for most fans since we have to buy our seats on the open market. Unless you own a PSL and season tickets. I saw these prices during the Ravens/Chiefs game at Candlestick. I do not think that those folks are advertsing the sale of those tickets any longer, so a link is not really available. Although the next away game we have there, I will be sure to post one for you.

I'm not too worried about it, I NEVER leave my seat during games ( unless I'm standing). Every once in awhile, BEFORE kick-off I grab a pretzel...some other folks I go to games with will grab something... The point is, if the Ravens want a better experience.. the concessions are a good place to start, something similar to the Orioles recent renvations would be nice.
