LSU fan here.

Was just coming to ask for your opinion's on this hire for LSU, and what LSU fans can expect out of him. I Know he was fired this season prior to your superbowl run. Thanks in advance for the insight.

Not an NFL job, it's worth noting, but he landed on his feet somewhere. He might be a better college coach than pro.

So, does Alabama want to dominate the SEC for another 4 years?

* LSU hires Cam Cameron as their offensive coordinator. *

Alright, then; another 4 years, it is, of Alabama dominating the SEC...

Hard to say really. College is very different from the NFL. He's a good development guy as an OC as far as young QBs are concerned. He could fit in well here.

Good luck, Cam.

Looks like Cam has latched on in Baton Rouge and will be the OC for the LSU Tigers next year.

I wish him all the best as LSU's new OC.

Cam Cameron will make Les Miles run to the NFL faster than LSU's offense could get off the field with Cam as OC.

On a more serious note, Cam Cameron found his way to Louisiana after all.

He can develop quarterbacks, and especially when they're young he likes to run the football. He does do some head scratching things every season, but with The Mad Hatter as your coach I'm sure you're used to that by now. I'm not really sure what your quarterback's strengths are, but Cam is a big time Air Coryell disciple, and pretty much uses the same route tree over and over again, expecting his receivers to beat man coverage consistently. Our receivers weren't so good at it, but if you have bigger guys who are man coverage beaters he could do some special things. Overall though, if your quarterback needs help learning to play the game, Cam is one of the best.

I am happy for Cam and his family. I think Cam was important I Joes development his first 2 and maybe 3 years after that he was too rigid BUT with college guys that may not be a bad thing.

His 18-37 record at Indiana begs to differ. He's just a bad coach in general. I also don't see how his preachy dictatorial style is going to resonate with college players. All I know that LSU better hope they recruit the best offense line in all of the NCAA, so that they can run and have those extremely long developing plays sometimes work. Even then, his vanilla offense is going to be eaten alive by Saban's defense and probably by many others in that conference.

End around, end around, run up the middle, punt... just playing. Not going to judge yet cause he might've realized he might need to loosen up and change how he calls plays. Should be interesting. Calling plays in college is a lot different than the NFL.

Getting Cam out of town was one of the best decisions the Ravens have ever made. I mean, how does Ray have games with single digit carries? That's what crossed the line for me.

Preachy can work better at a collegiate level because coaches have more power at that level... that is to say, the players have less individual power.
