I Promise Only If I Get Over Ten Votes Up
1st Datone Jones
2nd Khaseem Greene
3rd Bacarri Rambo
4th Dion Sims
4th Robert Lester
5th Xavier Nixon
5th Kwame Geathers
6th Tyrann Mathieu
6th Ace Sanders
6th Sanders Comings
7th Zach Boren

I Only Picked Lester because we dont know if Pollard will keep getting fined and suspended also i predicted we might get a 4th, 5th, and two sixiths and the two corners are for steady competition and backups

If we draft on S, I doubt that we would draft another unless, the guy is BPA by far. The FO loves Omar Brown and we still have Christian Thompson from last year.

Beyond your ridiculous reasoning for drafting him in the first place, Lester is not worth a 4th.

So tired of seeing Mathieu mocked to the Ravens.

I love the Jones pick. I think Datone can be the next JJ Watt. He has immense talent. As for Greene, I am a bit undecided. Greene looks like a Will, and we really need a Mike. Some will say Brown is also a Will, but I think he can play the Mike. Not sure Greene can. You also love to mention injuries, but Greene's battled through some good ones and has been out from injuries. Greene is a LB who plays like a S. He can cover TEs but I think he goes for the big play more than tackling efficiency. He's Burfict to Wagner.

I like Baccari Rambo. Dion Sims is also a good player. You seem high on him. Are you secretly his agent? Lol. JK. I won't be mad if we take a TE. I think we should due to having both starters as RFAs.

Lester, Nixon, Geathers, & Mathieu, Sanders, Commings & Boren. Well, the Boren pick makes some sense though I have no idea where his draft stock is & he may not be available there. I like Mathieu, but really? Lester, Mathieu, Commings, & Rambo? You do realize we have a crowded secondary, right? Lester's more of a SS, and I don't see the need to draft one. We can get one late or UDFA. Mathieu I like as a S though there are legit questions about his ability to play it. I like the idea of Mathieu as a ST player like an Edelman.

Nixon, Geathers, & Sanders. Okay. Nixon I like, but I'm not sure if he's BPA here. Geathers is a good pick and so is Sanders. It's hard to really say in the late rounds because you have no idea who is there.

For me, we need immediate help at: ILB, DT/NT/DE. We can use starter-quality depth at TE, DE, S, CB & WR. We can use depth at OT, OG, OC. That's how I rank needs. Immediate/starter, quality depth (in the event we lose a FA next year or if you have a starter who has been injured) & then development depth who you know won't start but will be developed for a year.

I think this is by far your best mock! I'll pass on Lester, and slot Ace Sanders there instead. No way he lasts that long. Not a huge fan of Nixon, but if he is there in the 5th why not.

I agree with your needs system for sure and I think that we can expect free agent signings similar to the past couple of years with Jacoby, Graham, etc. coming later in the process at cheaper prices. As we have seen, these pay huge dividends when done correctly but you're usually not going to get frontline starters going this route. I expect them to work something out with Flacco, McKinnie and Ellerbe as well as Pitta and Dickson while letting the rest leave like they did last year with Redding, Nakamura, JJ, etc. This mock is accounting for 4 comp picks which I think may be lofty but not excessive. I used 2 just to be on the lower end of the spectrum. I believe outside of letting certain free agents walk the Ravens will be forced to let go of Boldin (if a large re-structure can't be accomplished), Leach and Koch ($2.5mn to a punter is pretty lofty for me).

I think we stay up watching for four hours in the first round only to see Ravens trade back once again so the Cardinals can try to get a QB at 32 ahead of KC and JAX and Ravens work a 2 and 3 because of this. Other than that I mocked no trades.

2 (6) - Kevin Minter ILB, LSU
2 (32) - Alex Okafor DE, Texas
3 (7) - Da'Rick Rogers WR, TN Tech
3 (32) - Brandon Williams DT, MO Southern State
4 (32) - Jon Bostic ILB, Florida
4 (comp) - Jelani Jenkins OLB, Florida
5 (32) - Brad Wing P, LSU
5 (comp) - Levine Toilolo TE, Stanford
6 (32) - Greg Reid CB, Valdosta St.
7 (32) - Kyle Juszczyk FB, Harvard

I think the FO saw that with McKinnie the exteriors of the current line can be very good and with Gradkowski stepping in they will be adequate but I would expect another Bobbie Williams type signing for depth and/or the use of David Mims/Ramon Harewood types for depth. This draft really addresses an aging and athletically regressing front 7, The LB corp needs a shot of athleticism and with Ellerbe/McClain's health issues it needs a good deal of depth also. Toilolo could be a red zone machine with his size and Joe's accuracy to the back of the end zone. Reid/Rogers would provide good depth and upside at their positions and I think Wing/Juszczyk will both be good NFL players. I anticipate using Suggs/Upshaw as 3 down players next year so having Okafor would provide good athleticism across from McPhee and alleviate the loss of Kruger.

Let me know what you think.

Okafor is a 1st rd talent after his bowl game and the Senior Bowl. Jelani Jenkins is a 4-3 OLB so he wouldn't fit very well here. Wing got suspended at LSU's so he very well could go undrafted or later than the 5th as you can always find a decent P without character concerns. Also, Koch is a quality P so there is no need to release him.

I agree that Koch is a quality P but paying him $2.5mn when you can get a quality P at 5th round, or even undrafted as you mentioned, which proves my point that I would rather put $2mn towards McKinnie/another FA to upgrade a more significant position. Also, I think Jenkins, although undersized, has the ability to play any position because of athleticism which I think we are looking for depth at this point rather than a step in starter. I think he would be a great 3rd down guy to help cover some TE's because of his athleticism. Okafor is a stretch but come draft day you just do not know who will fall and who will rise.

I don't think we'll save much by cutting Koch. I think I remember reading we would save like 700k. With that said, Koch hasn't had the best year. He made a few mistakes and I can see us bring a guy here to compete with him. I don't think we will draft one, though. That doesn't seem likely.

Jenkins is a prototypical Will but I think he could play inside in the 3-4. It's hard to say, really. I like him. He has a lot of speed. He would be an Al Davis 1st round pick. Haha. Still, I like him because I think he could play inside in the 3-4 and gives us the ability to really mix up fronts. But, that's contingent on his practices here if he is even brought in here for a workout. I would take other players before him, though. He would be a 4th or 5th round pick for me. If he's there, then I think he'd be a good pick depending on who else is available.

I agree this is his best one yet. But if he believes what he wrote about the reason in drafting Lester, then..................you know what, I just don't know what to say.
