My bold prediction that isn't so bold for me is, Flacco will capture 2 SB MVP awards and a NFL MVP award before ever playing in the Pro Bowl. That's right, the Ravens will win back to back rings and Flacco will be the only active QB to win the AP NFL MVP and SB MVP in the same year.

Mighty bold of you! At first I was thinking" Super Bowl MVP and AP NFL MVP in 2013 might even be possible, but no way he does that without also being voted to the Pro Bowl next year. Then I noticed you said "playing" in the Pro Bowl. Heh. Well played, sir.

Yea I see a 4,500yds 41TDs 5Int type season. I know it seems odd to see Flacco TD total double and his Int cut in half, but when I look at his play under Caldwell, I didn't see anything that would make me say, Flacco is playing above himself. I just saw the play caller finally scheming the offense for Joe and Joe not wasting opportunities.

Every time the Ravens got into the redzone it was basically a TD(when passing) because Caldwell would find the weakness and Flacco would find the mismatch. This offense will only grow and get better under Caldwell. I think Caldwell will bring an even faster pace and better short-mid range passing game that will just increase Flacco's completion percentage, extend more drives on 3rd downs and ultimately open up the deep passing game because safeties will have to react to the middle, leaving Torrey and Jacoby 1on1 and it's not many defense that can contain the deep ball without safety help.

Please note, the stats do include post-season performances for each year.
The red is his career worst season in that category, the green is his career best season in that category.
The X Axis of each graph represents the season of his career (e.g. 1 = Rookie Season / 2008, 2 = 2nd Second Season / 2009, etc.)

2008 (19 Games):
Total: 290/503, 3408 Yards, 15 TD, 15 INT = 75.9 QB Rating
179.4 Y/G, 57.7%, 6.78 Y/A, 33.5 A/TD, 33.5 A/INT

2009 (18 Games):
Total: 339/544, 3836 Yards, 21 TD, 15 INT = 84.8 QB Rating
213.1 Y/G, 62.3%, 7.05 Y/A, 25.9 A/TD, 36.3 A/INT

2010 (18 Games):
Total: 347/553, 4012 Yards, 28 TD, 11 INT = 93.2 QB Rating
222.9 Y/G, 62.7%, 7.25 Y/A, 19.8 A/TD, 50.3 A/INT

2011 (18 Games):
Total: 348/605, 4092 Yards, 24 TD, 13 INT = 82.5 QB Rating
227.3 Y/G, 57.5%, 6.76 Y/A, 25.2 A/TD, 46.5 A/INT

2012 (20 Games):
Total: 390/657, 4957 Yards, 33 TD, 10 INT = 93.4 QB Rating
247.9 Y/G, 59.4%, 7.54 Y/A, 19.9 A/TD, 65.7 A/INT

First of all stellar post with all the analytic data and charts...props for that. My $0.2 on Joe is this...

He is a great QB, he has all the makings of one-height with out a lack of mobility, arguably the biggest arm in the league, and his accuracy is getting better and better and ever since we got him a deep threat his deep accuracy seems spot on. His best quality is the nickname we gave him as a rookie "Joe Cool". He seems to have freezing cold nerves that even in the big time situations dont bend or break, he always keeps a posotive attitude, and that quality definitely helped us get to the super bowl this year. Flacco still has things to work on...(even Aaron Rodgers looks to improve during the offseason)

He needs to work on pocket awareness a bit for those times when he wont be as greatly protected as he was this post season. He needs to work on timing with receivers which is something every QB does during the offseason...maybe Joe will meet up with Torrey and Pitta and Doss and do some pre-OTA/preseason throwing. With better timing he can help correct the overthrowing he was well criticized about this year both on the message boards and by reporters/analysts. And making better reads and decisions in the redzone.

All in all as I have said all year long...Flacco isnt a flashy QB who is going to make 1000 chnages at the line of scrimmage and look like Manning, or Brees or Ryan...thats just not his forte. He is not the flashiest guy on the field but more of a guy who has what it takes to win games when the game is on the line, and is developing into a super clutch elite caliber QB...

Think about all of his comeback wins in his career there were a couple good ones even before this year alone where his clutch demeanor went through the roof. Flacco has all the perfect traits of a solid QB, and you cant take those away, he can only get better and as a team we can make him even better by putting more weapons around him.

Flacco had a revalation of a post season this year. He solidified himself as a clutch QB with elite traits all over the place who finally shut up the critics on these forums who said its time to cut ties with him and rebuild, draft Gino Smith in the first round, maybe even see what Tyrod has to offer us, someone even suggested that we trade Flacco to the Redskins for Kirk Cousins HAHAHA Back on point Flacco came a long way this year and developed a lot of confidence. He just had one of the greatest journeys to the SB, and then took on the best defense in the league and man handled it on the biggest stage in the world.

The one area people still think separates Flacco from the other elite QBs is the fact that his regular season stats are average. I think Joe is poised to have the breakout season we wanted last year. Now that Cam Cameron is gone and the offense is 10x better, and we finally have a good balance to the o-line I think Flacco will have over 4000 yards and 30TDs, becoming a pro bowl QB and finally putting the cherry on top to the fact that he is truly elite.

BTW 2011. Was the year. Flacco not only lost his QB coach, but his top 2 receivers. 1# WR - Mason and his #1 TE HEEEEEAP. There was a learning curve for the connection between Joe to Torrey Smith, Pitta and Dickenson.

We lost Housh too. We only had one receiver who had ever caught a pass in Baltimore.
