Cleveland Browns

I don't think we should stereotype their fanbase. A lot of them are quietly resigned to being perpetual cellar-dwellers and some of them are even pretty funny about it. Remember the picture of a Cleveland fan holding a "Hey Baltimore, can you take this team, too?" sign?

I can't stand Browns fans. They're so pathetic, constantly talking crap....Seeing LeBron James win it last year, and the way he's been playing this past week, makes me smile because I know how mad those Art Modell/Ray Lewis haters are.

Eh, I have always been ambivalent towards the Browns. Plus my last name is Brown. Lol theyre just like the midly annoying gnat floating around. I dont mind their fans.

I keep trying to go to Browns' forums to see if there is any "inside" theories on what the Browns will do. But I can't stay there long enough because of things like this:

"I do NOT root for them [Ravens] any more than I would the Bengals and Steelers. They are the Browns rivals. In my view they are only put on this earth to eat the Browns dust and to feel the Browns boot heel in their necks. As far as I am concerned, when they and the Steelers and the Bengals play any other team in any other division I root for the other team. When they play each other, I root for the meat wagon."

I start laughing and lose my focus. When exactly was the last time anyone ate Browns' dust? I mean, since the 90's started they've been over .500, what, 3 times? Wonder where they get their bravado?

And then they might get over losing a team.
I don't know why the people in Cleveland were mad to begin with. Losing is a tradition in Cleveland, The Browns sucked before Art moved the team here, and the Browns still suck after they came back into existance two year later. If they lost a winning team, then they would have something to ball tears about, that wasn't the case.

I think they could be dangerous with Gordon, Little, Joe Thomas, Richardson as center pieces for their offense. The smart move to me is to take the best player there at your greatest need. I would take Patterson TBH or Warmack. You upgrade the weak-link of the OL (RG) by moving the LG over to RG and you have what would be probably the best OL out there with a RB you can build your team around.

That will give Weeden time to throw. Get Wallace, Jennings, or even Welker and use them as a WR. Personally, I would get Wallace & maybe one of the other two names I mentioned. They need help at WR. Then with the 2nd round pick, get Ertz or Eifert--one should be there.

After that, you just go all-out defense. They could get Keenan Lewis or someone like that to play opposite of Haden. Upgrade the OLB through free agency like Kruger or Spencer from Dallas and draft a guy as well.

Then again, maybe I would be a better GM than what the Browns have. I just think if you build those OL trenches up as dominant, you can run on anyone. Then, you can rely on your defense to get 3&outs and just keep running to run out the clock.

I think the Browns should get Levitre for LG, Wallace for WR, Miller for TE, Williams for CB, Spencer as OLB/DE. They could then just go and take whoever fell to them in the draft. Patterson, Warmack, J. Jones, Star.

Imagine if the Browns signed Levitre or drafted Warmack for LG, signed Wallace or Jennings & drafted Patterson for WR, signed Miller & drafted Eifert or Ertz for TE, signed Spencer or drafted Jones for OLB. Man, I can imagine a lot of ways for them to be truly competitive.
Little has no hands so I'm not really afraid of him. Gordon has the ability lets see if he can be even more productive than he was last year.

If I were the Browns, Id take Werner, sign Levitre and Wallace and have really fiercesome team. They dont have a second rounder because they took Gordon.

Too true. Man, that would be a dominant OL right there.

This is going to be a scary team. Weeden when he has time to throw can pick you apart.

That's why I am worried about the Browns. If they ever got a good GM they would be dangerous. They sign Levitre, sign Wallace, add Bush back there with Richardson, sign Anthony Spencer for ROLB. Then you get Werner with their 1st pick. You would have an ideal OL with some good weapons perfect for the Air Coryell. Perfect.

I think they could be 2nd place in the division. PIT is in steady decline and I'm not sold on Dalton's cats yet. CLE has a lot of potential at both O and D. They've got some decent WRs.
