I would take him with our 2nd. I think Faulk has a ton of potential and could be one of the best LTs in this class. His injury will drop him but he would have been a 1st.How opposed would you guys be to taking him with our 2nd round selection at #64? I think that the only way we get this guys is here. Not advocating doing it or not? Just wondering how you would feel about it value wise.
Still, as we discussed in another thread, Ozzie seems comfortable with our OL and may not invest into it early. I like Faulk, though. A lot.

Realisticly I dont see it happening just due to Ozzie's comments in the recent end of the year presser regarding o-line. However the fact that even if we retain Bryant Mckinnie he will likely be a 1 or 2 year stop gap, and Oher is a free agent soon as well. So investing a late 2nd on a decent prospect wouldnt be out of the woods. We are going to need one sooner or later, but as for now the forecast looks to be a defensive draft with a slight chance of WR.How opposed would you guys be to taking him with our 2nd round selection at #64? I dont find that to be too much of a concern if the former part of your statement holds true on the nfl level. The LT is primarily suppose to be the pass blocking tackle anywayI think Faulk is above average in pass-pro but not a great athlete and will struggle getting to the 2nd level in the run game. Also the injury is a concern. 3rd round pick IMO, but I would rather Terron Armstead in the 4th.

That's a fair point, but he is going to have to prove the injury is not a detriment.I dont find that to be too much of a concern if the former part of your statement holds true on the nfl level. The LT is primarily suppose to be the pass blocking tackle anyway

Honestly after seeing Adrien Peterson, Peyton Manning, etc... all comeback from devastating injuries, I'm sure the docs can drug him up to full health (If you seriously don't think Adrien Peterson was on some kind of wonderful, I want what you're smoking in addition to whatever he took). That's a fair point, but he is going to have to prove the injury is not a detriment.

Actually Faulk is probably the best run-blocking LT in the draft from everything I have seen.I think Faulk is above average in pass-pro but not a great athlete and will struggle getting to the 2nd level in the run game. Also the injury is a concern. 3rd round pick IMO, but I would rather Terron Armstead in the 4th.

I agree to the extent that I believe Faulk is a very well-rounded LT. He has played very well. His only knocks have been his injury. He's not perfect. It's not Joeckel or anything. But he is very good. I don't think he is the best run-blocker, though. Joeckel is better, and so is Fisher to an extent.Actually Faulk is probably the best run-blocking LT in the draft from everything I have seen.

I think Faulk is a better run-blocker than Fisher and is right up there with Joeckel but they are both better in pass pro for sure.I agree to the extent that I believe Faulk is a very well-rounded LT. Fisher is by far the best run-blocker of the three IMO. Faulk is kinda thick and carries extra weight. He isn't as quick as Fisher by a longshot. I love how Fisher gets to the next level and finishes blocks.

Interesting maybe I just haven't seen enough of Fisher since he fell out of our rangeFisher is by far the best run-blocker of the three IMO. Faulk is kinda thick and carries extra weight. He isn't as quick as Fisher by a longshot. I love how Fisher gets to the next level and finishes blocks.
