Even if you factor in value the chiefs won out tremendously as Graham has more value that any player in this draft because he is not only elite, but a proven commodity unlike anyone in this draft.

I agree completely.

Allow on the Graham trade. It's a bad deal for New Orleans but since we are only to veto on premier players getting traded away, it should go through, I guess. Graham is just a step below that, in my opinion.

This can't be real life.

That has already been established.

Veto. Graham by himself is worth a top 15 pick at least. Hes not that far behind Gronk. Theres not even THAT big of a difference, between the 1st and 15th in this draft class(compared to usual). Its not like hes trading to get a franchise QB either. Its not that its unrealistic, its just unfair in my opinion.

I know I don't get a vote, but isn't that the exact opposite of the purpose of why we instituted a veto process?

I didnt say that. I get that people have different opinions of players and its fine if I personally think its pretty unfair. But everyone knows how great Graham is and I think its a big ripoff.

I vote to allow the trade.

That being said, the Chiefs are being ripped off. Graham is not the player he's made out to be, he drops a lot of balls. And they're letting a team move from 15 to 1 for basically nothing. The pick is worth more than that. But it's not our duty to babysit, if he wants to lose value on something that's his prerogative.

You didn't say what? The thing I quoted you saying? My point was that the idea of the veto is to keep guys who are the face of the franchise from being traded, not to veto trades that we think are unfair. I got a top 5 LT for a 3rd and 2nd year dime back. That's a much bigger value disparity but it was never discussed because Eugene Monroe isn't a well known player and thus isn't a face of the franchise guy. Graham is awesome but Brees is the face of that team.

Vote to allow, graham is good but not a franchise player. There has already been a lot more questionable moves made. So that ship has sailed

I hate to do this, but I'm vetoing the Jimmy Graham trade.

It is just utterly ridiculous on too many levels.

9-8 in favour of veto.

Honestly, it's not a huge deal if this gets vetoed. I think it's absurd but I have a solid deal lined up as an alternative so I'm fine either way. I just don't get why everyone is so eager to veto other deals, it's like everyone is on a power trip.
