It's a legit voting and reason.

What's the point of the draft with 8 missing picks from the 49ers. We have to be more realistic than that.
First of all, there hasn't been anyone other than you to complain about this. The rules state there needs to be dissent for a vote. I would hardly call one member posting their opinion as dissent. It's not like you talked about it with anyone else. You just took it upon yourself to make a vote.

Second, who cares? We've skipped them so much as it is. If we were going to replace them, then we should have done so long ago. Now anyone that takes over the team is seriously handicapped.

Then I will take them......

I don't think that's necessary. We haven't kicked out the SanFran GM before. Why should we wait until now to do so? This doesn't even make sense. It also goes against prior practices where we, you know, actually discussed things as a group before putting something to a vote.

I find this vote absurd.

Ok ok, it's a voting discussion, not a real voting.

We're trying to discuss what to do with the 49ers. I just want them to get their picks in and clean up their roster into 53 and then done with their mock offseason. Their GM left them for sure, since he made no attempts to contact us, I'll contact them that we will pick 8 draft picks for him unless he wants to be active.

Why don't you not do anything? How about that solution? You don't need to pick for him. Let it be. Drop it. We don't need to clean up the rosters to 53. Why are you even bothering with this? It's the GM's job to get talent & the coach's job to develop & keep talent. The coaches determine who the cuts are, not just the GM. You're making this way more than it needs to be.

Nobody needs to have their roster at 53. From my understanding, it has been this way for previous renditions. Why change it? So what if you have people with a lot of talent? How is that their fault?

I can slap a bunch of guys with IR. How's that for your 53-man roster solution?

Are we actually trying to be realistic all of a sudden? This game is completely unrealistic with no gauranteed money and so many trades. Whi cares if a team is inactive.

I agree, we stopped being realistic a long long time ago.

I'm just saying, we can't complete the draft with 8 missing draft picks.
I think the lack of votes speaks more than anything, Corvus. I think you're Revis right now--on your own island.

So there is no rule of having a 53 man roster? I thought that was part of it?

They're just being greedy.

But we need to decide on the 49ers soon.

I sent a request to the GM to appoint a caretaker.

Ok, I have come to a conclusion.

Screw the 49ers!

If their GM don't care, then we shouldn't either.

Dallas got off the hook with a new GM.

Leaving those 8 picks blank helps the league more than him anyways. That's 8 more draftable players to UDFA.

Voting Topic: Allotted time frame of 12 hours for the Undrafted Free Agency period.

Corresponding Plan and Potential Outcome: The current proposal will impact the said time frame in accordance to the location of the potentially affected parties.

Reasoning: Shortening the time slots in hopes of accelerating the pace of the UDFA process without compromising the liberties granted to the members far-removed from the Eastern Time Zone, liberties that are meant to accommodate the variables caused by the time difference.

Outline of Available Options:

Option 1 - For every GM located 3 hours or fewer from the Eastern Time Zone, the span will be shortened down to 8 hours. For every GM located outside of this region, it will remain at 12 hours, as it currently stands.

Option 2 - Allow the allotted time frame to remain at 12 hours for every GM.

Don't forget to put an option on a skipped team, reduce their time to 4 hours or none if they don't even bother to turn their first skipped pick in.

We are proceeding with the skipped teams as we have before. If a team misses their time frame, they will be skipped from then on until they return. Your proposal would actually be easing the rules on the offenders, and thereby wouldn't assist us in accelerating the speed of the process.

Since this proposal isn't centered around my team, I believe that I am allowed a vote in this matter. If so, I vote for Option 1.

Option 1, let's get this done by next week, so we can get Cut Free Agency in (Hopefully Monday)

We want to get everything done because once 2013 NFL Draft starts, there will be a mass inactivity among the group (I assume up to 50%) where's the fun in that when half the teams are done. I say we activate Cut Free Agency after the round 2 is done.

You guys can hoard all the UDFA you want, but Cut Free Agency is where the prize is at.

Option 1

And for the later multiple pick rounds, thats for the whole lot, not just your first pick of two.
