Do you think this is the same as the comp icks being announced? Also this would be like the lockout year where the final cap wasn't announced until wayyy in to free agency. Also would it make sense for any cap change to only be changed after the entire first rd of free agency is complete? So you can only use it for the rd 2 free agency and would be more fair? I want to hear more arguments before rushing in to my vote.
[/quote]comp picks are added, that was specified before we began.

I understand that my question is wouldn't this be a similar situation. And I stated the above real life sitation. Its not really similar to restructures trades or cuts in real life as you are taking over as gm of the team the day the mock starts, but this is a league wide annoncement. Then again we added the extra money for the draft picks, so maybe this was already taken in to account? I juist want to make a fully educated decision after hearing all argurments. It seems like the decisions that were made really quickly like moving free agency dates caused some iSsues.

I'd assume the comp picks are already accounted for in your original draft allocation.

I'm changing my vote, to A. If I would have known this before, I wouldn't have traded Monroe in order to go on a spending spree in free agency.

I personally think this is the absolute most fairest proposition because it affects every team equally from this point on. Voting against it because of the notion that the teams who were strapped for cash made moves that they otherwise wouldn't have is nonsensical. We passes a rule about involving roster bonuses after the beginning of the Mock. Who's to say that teams didn't pass up on trades or cut a different player instead of the one with the roster bonus, because they would've had to eat his bonus? That didn't prevent the vote from passing. I understand that we're against adding in things after the deadline, but I feel like this one is a bit of a special case.

Those are all fair points, but I think the bigger problem is what happens if you pass this? It could create a precedent where people feel like other real-life moves should be involved. I understand your point and agree with it even. It's one of the reasons I even brought this up. But after deliberating about it, I came to the conclusion that if we do pass this, you can use this as a precedent for other real-life moves and that may prove to be problematic.

I severely doubt that a change such as this one occurs again, because I don't believe that change or proposition that we can account for can possibly be as fair. We've seen solid points like restructuring be effectively shut down because of a hint of unfairness. And in this case, we're not voting to account for something that we could've accounted for. We're going for something that's just been put in place and could've affected real life teams as well.

Well, yes, obviously. I don't believe that I insinuated otherwise. I was simply providing a counter-argument.

WTH?! You can't change your vote in real life and you can't uncut a player, so how can you change your vote? It would be silly to vote on a vote, so I say his vote should just stand as it originally was.

People have changed their votes in previous votes. Nobody said anything before.

Well, I call BS. The vote is close enough as it is, without people changing their votes at the drop of a hat.

I am voting for the increased salary cap. To me this is the same as adding the comp picks. It affects the entire league evenly and will not open the door for single team moves like extensions trades or restructures. It is also not unfair to teams who would have done things differently etc...the final cap number is announced at different times oif the offseason irl as well.

By my count, that's 12 for A & 8 for B. Might not be 100% right there. Someone double-check me.

A won I know that, I just don't know by how much.

Actually, I thought we had until Sunday??? It's not over yet. For some bizarre reason, it's until Sunday not the normal 24hours. That makes no sense but I figured there was some reason for it. Please clarify that.

This doesnt include me, but Im guessing some of those cap stricken teams might have changed their entire plan if they had a few extra stars for offense. Its too late too change it now. Option A
