It pays off especially when you wear your fanhood on your sleeve, year after year. I have people telling me all the time now that they were thinking of me during the big game. It's pretty awesome.

This. Everyone I've talked to told me they were telling everyone around them how their buddy must be freaking out right now. I'm the ravens biggest fan to EVERYONE I know here.

But you'll always have the haters as well.

Same thing and a ton of congratulatory texts.

Best part: Winning, finally doing it and shutting up haters/media

Worst part: Being seen as a bandwagoner and haters who complain about the no-call holding on the 4th in the endzone. SHH

The best part of winning the Super Bowl is that no matter what happens going forward, our veterans will forever have their Ring. This is for Leach, Boldin, Reed, Birk, Suggs, At the same time, our youngsters have gotten a taste, and they want more. As Torrey said, "I can't only feel this one time".

Totally agree here. Sometimes I still lie in bed before going to sleep contemplating the fact that Sizzle, Boldin, Rice, and Reed are champions. It really used to grind my gears that a blowhard like Ryan Clark had hardware and Reed didn't. So so happy for Ed.

The only thing that makes me feel a tinge of sadness is how broken Patrick Willis was. The guy's been through a lot, is a Pro's pro, and does not have any of the arrogance his teammates/coach exhibit. I wish he wasn't on the 9ers because I really want to see him win one.

Hi I joined as a member basically to say :

The Ravens are the 2013 Super Bowl Champions & they WON IT ....FAIR & SQUARE !!!

I live in the Richmond British Columbia ( next door to Vancouver ) & really got interested in the NFL after our CFL season ended with the Toronto Argos winning the 2012 Grey Cup.
You would be surprised how many Canadians are fans of USA football.
We get your US channels plus have lots of sports channels so there is plenty of games weekly on the boob tube.

I really like Ray Lewis as he said this is his last " kick at the can" & how he said the Ravens can go all the way.
Really it was an up hill battle as ( think I'm right on the info ) the Ravens had to win against the Colts, Broncos in Denver, New England ( in their house ) & then onto New Orleans for the game for all the "marbles".

The week of the Super Bowel , a tv program that I watch ( The 700 Club ) had a feature on the many believers on each of the teams ,including the two head coaches.
OJ Brigance ALS was a BC Lion here in British Columbia in the 1990s also has a deep faith.
Of course Ray Lewis believes. Very out spoken.

Looking at both teams intellectual thinking I thought the 49ers were just un stoppable.
Though in my heart knew the Ravens would give it their all.
My heart was pulling for the Ravens.

If ya look at the whole game story...the Ravens played great on both sides of the ball.
Good drives & key stops.
Hard hits that caused fumbles...cool emotions to make the interception.
A big hit on the failed sideline to the 49er receiver near the end of the game.
He had his hands on the ball but the tackle quickly knocked it out.
If catch was made the 49ers are about the 3-4 yd line.

Now talk about the cool under pressure because the 49ers had the ball 1st down at the seven.
The Raven prior field goal forced the 49ers to need a major.

Then there was the defensive play that has gotten all the attention by the 49er fans & coach ( guess some of the players as well )

Let's be perfectly clear.
That play was in my humble opinion totally a call that was totally 50/50.
Could be called or not.
When a play is 50/50 to be flagged or not , then it has to be a NO CALL.

Raven ownership coaches players & fans , enjoy your Championship with 100% pure hearts.
They won it FAIR & SQUARE.

If ya want to see a penalty that should of been CLEARLY called check out that big running play by the 49ers that put them in the red zone. As their RB is making the run a Raven defender is GRABBED big time.

49ers are a great team but the Ravens time was on that day !
