The best part of winning the superbowl is that the team and the fans can finally say to the haters, doubters, critcics etc that "Who has it better then the Ravens" NOBODY!!!

Try living in enemy territory.... THEN we can talk...

Man, I live in Steeler country. When I first moved here, had to wait until Monday for the cable guy to come and the mountains blocked anything over the air. Donned my Ravens' gear and headed to the bar to watch the Ravens/Steelers play. Stop your whining! lol

Our shirts are on the way. Im trying so hard not to buy everything my impulses tell me to.
Haha, I'm the same way. Somehow I've resisted the urge and gave myself a week to let the emotions cool. I've limited myself to 2 tshirts somehow lol. Then I'll be getting the America's Game and the Playoff games DVDs (which I wouldn't have to do if we didn't have the longest 2 playoff games of life and my DVR stopped recording because the programming went an hour over the "allotted time slot")

I got 2 jerseys, a banner for my living room, one of those big glass cups, and my GF a Ravens shirt to wear to college and show off, I love this team! still waiting in the mail for it! I can't waaaaaiiit! I saw a 49er fan at the grocery store (he had a 49er hat on) and I was wearing my Ravens hat, and he saw me and turned away muttering to himself

I always found it strange that even though women support the same team, NFL teams insist on making the female merchandise a "female" color. I thought perhaps women had special corneas that caused them to only see in pink :P

They make everything in the standard colors. They just make some additional stuff in pink. Lots of the younger women/girls seem to like the pink.

The only thing Ive found slightly irritating so far is having people who dont know me down here in FL think Im a bandwagon fan.

Some dude at the beach the other night asked me "how long" Ive owned the shirt and hat I was wearing. I told him years and then got into a very Ravens detailed discussion with him. By the end I think he knew what was up.

For me it's just the legitimization of the organization, coaches, and players. Not that we weren't a top club before but this is the rubber stamp.

Steve got to hoist the trophy as a full owner. Harbs and Joe did what a lot of people said they could not / would not do - those guys take heat and don't get credit but they earned that championship. Ed and Sizzle get their rings with the franchise they started with. Anquan must have exorcised some demons from his earlier SB loss. Ozzie makes the tough calls, gets blasted throughout the season, but can sit back pretty now. Matt Birk contemplated retirement but came back and is a champ. Ellerbe, McKinnie so-called 'doghouse' players come back for huge contributions - they bought in. Dean Pees and Jim Caldwell doing what people said they couldn't. And, of course, Ray adding to his legacy and riding into the sunset.

All the time I spent arguing about these things and sticking up for these guys makes me feel better about it as well.

Don't feel bad, I have been getting asked that here in Maryland (Redskins side) this past week.

I was even asked "How does one even become a Ravens fan?"

It's like whatever. I never even really liked football until the Ravens came to town on day one when I was at Towson. I was a basketball fan, the Ravens introduced me and got me to love the sport. Knowing your allegiance is all that matters.

Exactly.

Everyone who knows even a bit about me down here has been approaching me with heart felt congratulations, so that's awesome for a change.

Like a few have said, i live in the heart of Steelers/Eagles country. Have been wearing my Reed jersey all year, and all i've heard is how we suck, won't make it past the Broncos...and then the Pats...and then the 49ers. Wore it today, and didn't hear jack.

It pays off especially when you wear your fanhood on your sleeve, year after year. I have people telling me all the time now that they were thinking of me during the big game. It's pretty awesome.

But you'll always have the haters as well.
