what sort of sham would it be of you cut someone and then can just change your mind. It's not even going to a vote. Once someone's cut they stay cut. If you want them back you have to bid against everyone else.
I agree. It just doesn't make sense. I mean, would you cut someone to get under the cap, try to trade for a player, not get them, then un-cut a guy? First of all, it would be messy. Second of all, it would get old fast. People trade players a lot as it is. I can't imagine being able to undo cuts, too. You just have to trade players before you cut them to get value if you can.

I would vote against being able to un-cut a player. I wasn't serious suggesting we do this, Flaccopoe. I was more or less saying it would be nice to have the player back to trade them. Lol.

Are you kidding?! He got 5 turnovers, 14 passes defended, and 94 tackles!
He also let up over 1,000 yards in passing when targeted. Ridiculously bad numbers.

That only averages to 62.5 ypg. I'm taking a leap of faith on him, I know. But so is the team that's going to wind up with Revis.

Teams do it in real life!
yes, but every other team could sign that player also, in other words they go into the free agent pool.

He's around the same age as Revis. I'm confient he'll work hard in the gym this offseason to get back in tip-top shape for his new team.
He's only three years older but Revis is still infinitely better and has the physicality to transition to safety in need be later in his career.

He also missed 13 tackles during the year and racked up 8 penalties.

Revis isn't on the block.

I thought the Jets had to restructure Revis' contract?

DeAngelo Hall: born 11/19/1983
Darell Revis: born 7/14/1985

Ed Reed said he was 3 years older. He's only 2.5 years older.

What team are you?

They don't. Revis is under contract this year; the final two years of his deal can be voided as long as he doesn't hold out this summer.

My mistake but my point still stands. Hall can make plays but speed was always his greatest strength. Revis can still be a solid player for many more years.

What do you want to bet he holds out again?! And we don't know how he'll recovery from his ACL tear.

Did you read what I wrote? If he holds out, he'd lock himself up through 2016 at only $3 million annually. Don't believe me? Link

He'll be rusty and most likely won't be as good as he was in '09 or '11, but he'll still be above average

Have fun bidding on Prince Amukamara. You'll probably end up spending at least 9 stars, when you could've traded a 2 star player for him.
Have fun not having another 2nd round pick.

Bironas' franchise tag is not 3 Stars--it's 4.5 Stars due to him being paid higher than the 3 Stars in 2012. Thus, his tag goes up 120% and is now 4.5 Stars, but he remains tagged & is not available for negotiation.

Round everything to the nearest 0.5 star. It makes it easier to do.

Blount was a UDFA and can't have an original round tender.

Man, I really wanted Bennett. One of my favorite players. First Byrd, not Bennett. This makes me sad.

You can't get original round draft pick compensation if he was never drafted.
