From my understanding that only applies if it's over 1 Star. There are countless cuts in this thread for a 0.5 Star for signed FA.

.5 is basically a vet minimum contract, which are never guaranteed. I believe we decided these could be cut with no penalty.

I posted them and I thought if a player was 0.5 it would all be dead money....guess I need to pay closer attention next time
