I veto the Bengals and Titans trade. Young good QB in Locker with top back and solid receiver for aging franchise LT and potentially good receiver. Im okay with trades that wouldnt happen in real life, but they have to be somewhat fair.

I'll veto the Cincy trade. It's stupid to trade Whitworth.
It's stupid to trade Whitworth for Roos (who is also a good LT) and others?

Point of note for the two teams involved, the trade could be re done but less catastrophic, like Johnson for whitworth, rather than the whole offense if it vetoed.

Would someone mind explaining to me why people keep saying I traded my entire offense? I traded Britt, a WR whose had character concerns to a team known for character concerns. I still have Marvin Jones, Washington & Kendall Wright. All good players and WRs. It's not like I got LaQuan Williams here or David Reed.

I traded CJ2K because my interior OL is weak and I need to strengthen it. I am going to do that through the draft, trade & FA. CJ2K has a big cap hit for me. We're not carrying over. The team was rumored to be cutting him. Not sure how that's an unrealistic trade.

I traded Jake Locker, and the fanbase would celebrate that trade. The Titans fans do not like him. I know. I have friends who are Titans fans. They hate the guy.

I traded Griffith who is a good FS but I have other options I want at that position.

So, where did I trade my entire offense? Did I trade Stewart? Kendall Wright? Washington? No. I traded a RB with a big contract, a good LT for an elite one, got a good & young WR, a bunch of draft picks, and got rid of a headcase in a free agency filled with some good WRs as well as a draft.

You people are ridiculous. Then you go on about how you want to trade Stafford, Suh, Dalton, Palmer? Let's be real here. No team is trading those players with the guaranteed money already invested. If this is the case, what's the point of this whole thing? If you want this realistic then so be it. If this is vetoed I will be super realistic and I can be. But be careful about that because if I see Haloti Ngata has 10M guaranteed and he's getting traded for Fitzgerald I am throwing a fit because no team is making that trade.

I feel like if you want realism, then make it realistic. I'll play that game. I won't cause a problem. If you want fantasy, then you'll get fantasy. That's all I am saying on this subject.

I dont think anyone wants fantasy, which is what this trade came off as. Part of it might be the sheer volume of players/picks in 1 trade combined with some pretty big names it seems very far-fetched. I get what you are trying to do but making a huge trade like this all at once is kind of crazy.

Exactly my point. I could have done multiple trades and nobody would have said anything. I just made it easy with one trade. I really don't care if it's vetoed as I will do the same thing again in a different way, but I find it absurd that it's so farfetched and then the same people who vetoed it had players like Stafford & Suh on the trade block. As if the franchise would ever get rid of those players. Suh is like a Haloti Ngata and nobody trades a franchise QB after what Stafford did in 2012--even if I DON'T like Stafford, and I don't. Why do you trade a franchise QB? Franchise QBs are the most valuable commodity. It took the Redskins like 3 1st round draft picks to get one.

I don't want to rant. I really don't. I don't want to come off as whining. I'm just irritated at this situation since I feel like the pot's calling the kettle black here.

I want to simplify this, so here we go:

Trade Block Exclusions: Andrew Whitworth (LT), Fernando Velasco (C), David Stewart (RT), Nate Washington (WR), Kendall Wright (WR), Marvin Jones (WR), Kamerion Wimbley (DE), Mike Martin (DT), Akeem Ayers (OLB), Zach Brown (OLB), Jason McCourty (CB), Terrence McGee (CB). I'm not currently listening to offers for any of these players. They are off-limits.

The rest of the roster is available for trade talk.

What do you really have left on offense in terms of playmakers

You have wright and thats about it. Washington is on the wrong side of the 30, the offensive line outside of Roos was abysmal and all you did was actually age your LT by obtaining Whitworth, Chris Johnson was probably the best player on your team, who would produce well if the line would block for him given his yards generated after contact, and Britt, for the trouble, is a #1 receiver

So what you have left is an older o-line, WR2 talent at best, and no runningback/quarterback

Your team is essentially going to be rookies and FA acquisitions on both sides of the ball. Ask philly how that formula worked for them.

As a franchise GM, you cant trade franchise players, playmakers because they draw fans, ticket sales etc... It was pretty much why the cards and lions cap scrwed themselves to keep Megatron and Fitz. Its why when Ray Lewis was 33-34 we offered him a decent contract, and its why I am personally vetoing this trade. While you may be able to get away and possibly improve the team by doing this, the time to break these new players in, and possibility of failure could have an adverse of effect of killing your franchise. Allowing you to do this, is saying that players hold no value outside of their production which obviously isn't true, see Tim Tebow.

Also bro, on the subject of vetoes. Talk to Gabe. I know the feel all too well bro, but in this case

I've been in contact with Miami and we're talking about a different deal that makes more sense since we've received so much heat on this.

Ok Grim.... Yes, I want to trade Suh. Here is why

The Lions cap situation SUCKS. I'm having to let to of key players due to the previous GM giving mega deals to everyone.

I took Stafford off the trading block

Not only can I remove tons of Cap Room by getting Suh, but I, also, am working with Miami, who is giving me a player who is also all pro caliber in return, and a couple of draft picks as well. All pro for All pro is fair right?

Suh is a liability. He causes trouble. And Fariley behind him has elite potential. Williams and Hill are good DTs. I now have money I can use to retain Avril if I get rid of Suh. I can franchise tag a FS. And get the draft picks to make my Lions look SCARY.

I see no problem with the Titans, Bengals trade. I live less than an hour away from Nashville. I know people are sick and tired of Britt and want him gone. He is very close to pulling a Titus Young and just flat out getting cut. Chris Johnson is a solid player but the Titans have been rumored to be moving away from at one point but decided to keep him so its not completely unrealistic. Jake Locker is clearly not the answer in Tennessee and could do VERY well in Cincy with their OL and their pretty good run game. It all makes sense to a degree.. No, it's not the most realistic thing to trade away 2/3 of your backfield when both are young but there could be a lot more unrealistic moves. I mean, should we just not play the game? If we are basing it off realism... Then maybe 3 or 4 teams out of the entire NFL will actually participate in trading one of their players for picks so that means if every team in this game does ONE trade.. Already unrealistic. Guys, it isn't Megatron, or RGIII, or Drew Brees, or Adrian Peterson.. Just calm down and approve the dang thing. If you wanted just absolute fine line realism.. This isn't the game for you. There are certain core guys on each team that should be untradable and for the Titans.. With them being terrible.. The only guys that would be safe are Wright, Ayers, Zach Brown, and maybe David Stewart.
