It's not like RFA hit free agency in real life, a team has to contact their current team if they are RFA. Why didnt you bring this up last night when I made the offer in the discussion thread?
I say let it go through. I think the way y'all did it goes along more realistic way than waiting till actual FA.
well that's how I assumed it was being done, but I do understand where he's coming from with the deadline.

Agreed. I don't see a problem with the RFA deals being done now, personally. I understand what Gabe is saying, though. Technically, free agency has not yet begun. I don't really care, personally. I think it's a disadvantage to Arnie because he lost a 2nd, and could have had some good TEs in free agency.

That's not how we do Free Agency. Never has been.
rfa isn't free agency so that's a moot point. I know how free agency works, I devised most of it

If yous are against I have no issue with swapping back I'm sure sizzle won't either just to keep the peace, I just assumed once hes tendered he's up for bidding

is that how we are doing it? I thought once a player was tendered anyone can bid anytime? We aren't including RFA in the normal bidding process are we?
No, the idea was to have 1 day to bid on RFAs after they have all been tendered. This process would be handled just like regular free agency except it will also require giving up the pick. Then the team holding the rights of the RFA has 1 day to choose to match or take the pick.
Technically it is free agency just not unrestricted hence the r instead of the u. But I'm fine with starting it now and letting the Pitta thing go through.

I dont think it is a big issue, but if some other team wanted to bid on Pitta as well they should have the opportunity.

That's why the idea was to just open up all RFAs to bidding after the deadline for tendering.

There is nothing different about RFA other than the penalty associated with it.

I would say we should at least allow 24hours to pass before anyone can have an RFA. I mean, technically the RFA should have the same opportunity to sign as any other.

Makes no difference to me how you want to do RFA's. But if I may chime in.

Give RFA there own special section in the positioning bidding ie RFA TE, RFA Wideout

Allow them to be bid on starting value is obv the tender

Highest Bidder gets the player assuming the original team wont match

Seems simplest to me. Quote me and lmk what you guys come to a consensus on so I can update my state of the franchise accordingly

I agree with everything except this. I see no reason to clutter up this forum more with an individual thread for each tendered position when a lot of positions weren't tendered.

Yeah I think we can just lump all RFAs together and have a 24 hr period to bid on them. There really arent that many in total, and even less that will actually get tendered.

Not what I mean. I mean when we do TE just make sure the RFA TE's are designated as such either in a separate category or bolded or italicized or something

Disagree with this. Just add them to the positional threads and designate them by bolding them. Makes things much easier and we dont need to spend an extra day on them.

It was discussed in the original thread, and everyone seemed on board with it. If you look in the rules it clearly states other teams can make higher bids. As for the 24 hour period I just assumed that amount based on the original proposal to include RFAs and that is how we are doing the rest of FA.

Again, i know the rules, i devised them, i didnt think we where having a set bidding period for RFA, thats not what i had intended, but the trade is reversed thats ok.

Ahh, that makes a ton of sense. I think that would be the best way of doing it. It would then be more in line with our system and it would also mean no stupid moves.

Also, I think franchise players should be included in there as well. After all, the Rams have two first round picks and could take a franchise player.

Couldnt care less as I have already given Flacco the exclusive tag and plan to maintain that even if not necessary for the sake of realism.

There is only one team that has 2 firsts. I thought we were just ignoring this for that reason. It doesn't work in the framework of our mock.
