If anyone takes this trade an irrelevant facepalm is coming
[/quote]

Well not necessarily Gabbert but anyone else they can have for a 7th, I just want in so I can get a player and not risk losing him before he gets to UDFA.

I would really like to get back into the 7th round if anyone wants a player.

Terrell Thomas, Nolan Carroll, or Rishard Matthews could all be had for a 7th round pick. I might even consider parting with Dwan Edwards...

I'm offering all these players for any 7th rounders.

Why get one player that might not make it on your roster, when you can get six NFL experienced players. You can cut them if you don't like them, so you can actually be dealing one or two quality player for the 7th.

Any Team:
7th Rounder

Incredible!

Wait...why do you want to trade up so bad if you feel like the players left won't make the roster???

If I had a 7th and the cap space I'd jump on that. Bear Pascoe and Byron Bell alone are worth it.

I've read reports about Bell being absolutely abused in his first two seasons, so I'd pass on him.

You really gonna get an upgrade with one 7th? It's a depth move, and he has experience. It's all about the value of the pick. Get one depth guy/fringe player, or get a crap ton of guys who have been in the NFL to back up your starters.

With some of the talent still on the board, what's saying a team couldn't? Given that we've all sacrificed far less time in scouting than real life teams, we typically have even more solid prospects fall through the cracks. In the UDFA rounds alone, we've seen standouts like Richard Sherman and Alfred Morris be available during the first two Mocks. Russel Wilson was a 7th round selection in the last one. The fact that a player merely survives the onslaught doesn't automatically make him more valuable than one who has yet to be given a chance to. And it would be premature to devalue the latter when they haven't seen a single snap. At this point, a player's upside and ceiling are arguably of more value as a standalone factors, so I'd personally rather take someone with a potentially high ceiling than a player who has potentially capped out theirs.

Potentially.

But I'd still take 4 solid back ups over 1 potential player anyday.

I am far from any kind of professional scout. My scouting might not even be as good as what the worst scouts on a team like the Browns may have. With that said, there's some excellent talent still available in my honest opinion. Talent available at positions where I just don't even need guys, but I am considering due to the talent.

One was Kyle, who was just taken. I have a lot of talent at the RB/FB/TE position, and I honestly thought he was off the board long ago. Had I recognized his availability, he probably wouldn't have made it past my prior two picks.

The truth is, I try my best but some talent slips by me because this isn't a job for us. After my weekend of boredom, I went and did a lot of scouting & found a lot of talent at the small school & big school level. You know of at least two from our convos.

I wouldn't sell yourself short merely because you haven't made a career out of it. I understand that the FOs ultimately makes the call, but some of their poor decisions could be attributed to less than stellar evaluating from their scouting departments.

Couldn't agree more, as I was praying that he'd drop to my UDFA selection. Talent slips by everyone, which is what makes searching for it so exciting. I can definitely attest to the latter, as you've compiled a very long list of them.

No worries. I hope Thomas serves you well. I love his talent, but his injury history is a bit disconcerting.

Megatron is the face of my franchise... Was that from the start.

Some may argue Suh. It's Megatron
