0.5 but doesn't that defeat the point of getting rid of McGahee as you are getting another RB?

If he needs a return specialist he'll get that in Rainey. McGahee definitely doesn't offer that.

If you cut him though you could use those 0.5 stars on a player you actually like.

official Trade

Pittsburgh Steelers trade Chris Rainey (.5 stars) for Willis mcGahee (1 star)

(i believe these 2 have been on the block longer than any other players)

Well don't I gain .5 stars by trading McGahee? He is 1 star and Rainey would be .5 stars. I gotta go read the rules again.

Plus I can cut Rainey and get another .5 stars.

So instead of cutting just .5 for Mcgahee, I was able to trade him and cut the incoming talent in to free up 1 star instead of just .5 stars.

Still debating if I want to do keep Rainey or cut him..

I like the idea of having McGahee starting in front of Jamison and turning it over to Jamison later in the year... seems like I have seen that somewhere before? McGahee was still by far the best back in Denver last year.

Never thought of that. You already have 3 good RBs and a kick returner so I'm not sure Rainey would help you very much. I'm not saying this because I want him as my RB position is set with Spiller, Jackson, and Gilleslee.

Except Rice was better than Jamison and McGahee was younger and better then.

I like alot of what I have seen from Jamison, not as much as Gillislee, but he only has 2 years of wear and tear on him. If i recall Rice had alot more starts under his belt commnig out. I think Jamison has the potential to be a similar player to Rice, and I don't think i am done at Running Back yet. Chris Rainey was very unimpressive on the field and off last year to me so no big loss there.

haha trying too!

I'd be so happy with my GM season if I had known Barkley was gonna fall like he did. There is 0 reason he should of made it past the end of the 3rd.

Anyone looking to get rid of their picks?

I'm offering my 6ths for picks.

Preferably two 7ths for a 6th.

Or we can work something out.

Thanks for not getting Barkley. I needed him to replace Jimmy Clausen.

Stupid Bills trading a pick for a player who didn't have a snap last year.

Tarvaris Jackson.
[/quote]

Ah. Well, he wasn't going to see any time behind Russel Wilson and Matt Flynn. He's getting a little long in the tooth, but if the Bills are honestly considering giving him a chance, he could be a serviceable back-up, especially given his experience as a starter.

But he was a FA this offseason so they could have just waited. Heck the Seahawks probably would have cut him.
