You've got yourself a steal. Hatcher is 30 years old, but he was terrific last season, and likely has one or two seasons of a similar caliber left in the tank. His 30 stops were among the Top 5 among 3-4 DEs, with just 2 missed tackles, and he was also among the most productive pass rushers among the same group as well, as his 37 pressures and QB hits were 3rd behind JJ Watt and Antonio Smith.

Carolina Panthers looking to acquire more picks

Round 6 Pick 187 (Carolina Pick) - 0.5 Stars from Dallas
Round 6 Pick 191 (Carolina Pick) - 0.5 Stars from Detroit
Round 6 Pick 195 (Carolina Pick) - 0.5 Stars from Chicago

I'm looking for the two picks for one pick specials. Players could be included too.

He's not getting any younger and turning 31 years old. He can drop off at any time. Cowboys landed some nice players like Hunt, Shaughnessy, and Burleson.

Age is his only concern, as he was among the better, if not best at his position last season. And even if he does drop off from his 2012 production, he will likely still be a solid DT in 2013. And you managed to acquire him for a 7th round selection and a 31 year old CB who surrendered 49 receptions on 60 targets, which was the second worst burn percentage in the NFL, and a QB rating of 108.1 when targeted. This is easily a significant steal for the Panthers. Well done, my friend.

Yeah, I'll admit Hatcher is a good player, but I don't see him as a fit in my new 4-3. I also needed at least one draft pick.

Well, he was rock solid against both the run and the pass, so I'd argue that he would've easily been effective at your DT spot, especially with the loss of Jay Ratliff. I definitely understand the part about needing a draft selection, especially with the talent still left on the board, and ultimately, it's your decision whether he fits your scheme. I just figure that you could've gotten much more for him in return.

Yeah, I was trying to acquire picks, but I was only offered players. In real life, Monte Kiffin is unsure where he will play Hatcher in the new 4-3, so I was afraid he might have a hard time adjusting. I definitely agree he is a good player, but like you said there is talent on the board.

Joselio Hanson is bad on the outside, but can hold on his own in the slot.

Cowboys got their outside CB while Hanson battles Sandrick, who isn't that good of a slot CB, for the nickel spot.

There's a lot of good talents left and I'm trying to make up for my lost 7th.

Yeah, as a raider fan I watched Hanson play every game, I thought he looked good at the Nickle CB

Actually, Scandrick fared much better than Hansen last season, giving up just 20 receptions on 39 targets, with 0 TDs and a QB rating of 68.5. All of these are impressive numbers. And at 26, he still has several years in front of him. If I needed a fast and capable Nickel CB, I would've definitely went after him. And given the fact that you have a whopping 3 6th round selections, I doubt you'll miss that 7th. That's more than enough to nab the falling prospects, especially since you'll likely recoup it and a attain another selection when trading back.

Not confirmed. I never realized he was 5 stars. I can't afford that.
