The bad news is that the lions don't have a functional Offensive Line.

I got my starting OG back. Which was one of my primary goals.

I am going to shift it around a bit.

It looks to be

Long

Sims

Riola

Nagy

Bell

Which if Kyle Pans out is not bad at all.

I was contemplating to go all out for Smith though

Bengals are cutting now.

He's playing with cap he doesn't have.

False. I have plenty of cap for everyone. I made cuts for players I no longer needed. I don't need 8 receivers or 7 CB's or 2 FB's. I upgraded at TE and cut some dead weight at DE nothing more. If I was clearing cap I would have cut Dansby.

Question:

Would anyone be opposed to being able to claim any left over FAs for free for camp bodies as we can go over the 53 man roster?

Yes, this is absurd.

While there has been some criticizem of the offensive line, the additonso of Kyle Long will help the LT.

Not much has changed otherwise.

Anywho, the controversial decision was that Matt Stafford, a very overrated QB, was released on the spot and replaced with NFL vet

Carson Palmer. A QB who threw for 4000 yards with a crappy group of WRs.

Drew Staton is his backup.

The Lions have also drafted QB Tyler Bray. He has a cannon for an arm, who needs to develop a bit.

The Lions upgraded at RB when they traded for Knowshon Moreno.

He is a good pass catcher out of the back, who might have to work on fumbling problems.

Joquie Bell, a proven, reliable pass catcher is also still with the team.

They drafted Rookie Marcus Lattimore. If he ever gets healthy again, the guy could easily turn into a top 5 RB.

The real strength of newly rebuilt Lions is the WR corps.

The Lions have far and away the best WR in the NFL Calvin Johnson.

They then get a huge upgrade from Titus Young, up to Kenny Britt. Another stud WR

The Lions have drafted Stedman Bailey, a wrecking ball, to be the slot WR.

Lastly, newly acquired WR Nick Toon should give teams nightmares in the Redzone.

The TE corps may be unproven but is impressive.

The new 6'8  TE Joe Faruia is a mismatch for LBs.

The 6'6 Ladarius Green is an athletic freak.

That's about it!

Uhhhh....what the Heck??? What's with the crazy FA? I mean, I didn't have a problem with the idea of getting guys for no stars, but there should be a limit or something. It's also really unfair to other GMs who have zero knowledge of this.

if we do this, then we shouldn't be allowed to go over the 90 man roster or whatever. This is going to get really out of hand.

I got my two targets, just in case the apocalypse came.

Don't really care about signing a ton of players to 90 roster limit.

They have to cut them down to 53 anyways.

Yeah, two people say go ahead and all of a sudden it happens 10 minutes later? What's up with that?

Yeah, I mean I had no problem with the idea but to just post that so quickly is a little surprising. I thought there would be some notice. There's no general consensus or anything. That's not how we have done things. We have always obtained some consensus.

I want this done with before the Draft like everyone else. I've been pushing to just get one more UDFA period done. However, I don't like this one bit.

I am kind of appalled actually.

Me too... But I'll play along just to be safe, then when the consensus breaks out, the thing probably gets cancelled.

I'm only updating my roster and FoS on the Final Free Agency, not this absurd last second free for all that the Bills and Saints are playing along with.

It better get cancelled. At least 4 GMs have already protested this shenanigan.

Well... Picked the wrong time to fall asleep

Don't worry.

That weird free agency period thing is probably going to be redone.

we just have to make the Bills and Saints to cough them up and call the Commissioner to slap them for this Collusion-Gate.

Let's not go pointing fingers about things you don't know or can't prove. I have no problem with those guys. They probably had innocent intentions. No reason to bring that kind of negative attitude towards someone.

This was a collusion? Pipe down, sonny. Detroit was the first to grant its approval.

Any ideas how we're going to settle this?

Well, we should start by invalidating all the picks that were made. Then we can discuss whether we should even have a Free "pick-up" period, adn if so it should be regulated in some way either by limiting the number of picks, picks per/time period, small cost etc. Then we can set a date and time for it to happen.

Also, there should be a limit so the other GMs who are away can join.

How about 2 signings per 3 hours and they can rollover.

So, if you haven't signed anything for 6 hours, you get to get 4 players and so on.

No disagreements here. Sounds like a plan.

Hey guys!

Update your Depth Charts and State of Franchises and everything.

Amplus' Top Tiers - Coming Soon!

Lol. Well, mine are updated, fortunately.

I am just really, really happy with what I did with the Titans. My focus was to build up the offensive & defensive line. Use them to protect the QB & to help with the run game. That's why I targeted Moore over Levitre, who is a good pass protector but not the best run blocker. Moore is older, but I can't deny how well he played in both roles. I then wanted to draft a guard, but I just don't see the point in taking guards round 1, even if they are as good as those two are. I liked Warford, and Miami got a great pick. I was looking at him. I wanted Thomas REALLY bad, but someone took him, too. I was really disappointed there.

Overall, I feel like my RBs will run through anything. I built my team to be able to win my division, first and foremost. To beat the Texans, I focused heavily on stopping their run game with Foster & pressuring their QB who isn't that good by attacking the rather weak OL they have outside of the left side to the center. Putting Wimberly as LE will really make a mismatch, IMO.

Then with my secondary, I have Ed Reed back there, who should be able to more than hold his own against Yates, Luck, & Tebow or Henne.

I think my Titans will win their division, which at least puts me in the playoffs. Can't ask for more.
