I'm for the idea of just a draft. It is difficult to go and do FA. It's hard because the players can't really pick and it's all about the money & cap space. I think a draft would be good.

Start of with cuts, and RFA, erfa, and framchise tagging. Then bidding on all free agents plus cuts. Then a draft.

Has there been a lot of trades, would people want to stop and reverse all trades at this point?

True. If all trades are voided then it really doesn't affect anything. I like the idea of just doing a mock. No FA, no trades, etc. Well, we can always trade picks.

[/quote]it would be real contentious. And we would need every single owner to cast their vote rather than a closed 24 period. We have had issues with two trades in less than 24 hours already

There really hasn't been a lot of trades so really we could keep those trades active and move on to Free Agency. Plus this will save us a lot of time and it won't take as long as it did last year.

I would be completely fine with starting from scratch again....all you do is cut players...do FA than the draft...the trades are too much and the animosity with overhauling trades and teams is overwhelming

Are we seriously even discussing this? I don't really want to participate if we ban trades, it is one of the most fun aspects of this game. We have established a method for sorting out conflicts, let's let that process work.

That's the thing. I like the fact we do have a mock free agency added to it. I like that we can build a team the way we want to as GMs but it just that at times it seems we do complicate things a little too much. I do think if we keep Free Agency, we will have to keep the salary cap. We had no issues really doing it the way we did last year.

1. Carry on as normal
2. Cancel all trades, just have cuts, resigning of RFA, erfa and franchise tendering. Then begin the free agency and then the draft. Only picks can be traded once the draft starts.
3. Stop and cancel everything. Just have Tendring and a draft. No free agency.

That's the options here

True. I'm OK with no player trades, only free agency. You're right about it being a key aspect of the draft. It would also be hard to fill needs when you have FAs, like Flacco. Where would he go if we had no free agency? To this point, what you say makes sense. But we need to get it worked out quickly. I'd really rather not be doing this when the real draft comes around. Let's just simplify it. You know, free agency & draft only. No crazy stuff like trading players. I think that has made this a mess.

I think the only way player trades work is if you have a definitive rule, no grey area. Personally, I feel like any trade should be allowed.

I say we carry on but find a way to speed things up a bit. Like start Free Agency next weekend or something?

Trades are important but at the same time it seems trading players is fine until we hit the snag where people want to trade star players then we hit a wall.

I Like this idea...I requested this off the start however it went nowhere..I think maybe 2 per team involving players and as many as you would like with PICKS ONLY

[/quote]id like that one. I think this needs to go to the vote. Have the four options laid out, every member has to pick an option. I'd even delete the other vote thread and start a new one for this and until this is decided trades are halted.

I also was in favor of limiting trades but some people argued how we should be able to do whatever we want and you see where that got us. I have no problem starting over from the beginning, but with 3 trades per team.

How about a 5th option:

Proceed from this point. We can even allow the Suh trade. Make a rule of what players cannot be traded unless for each other. That would be fair. We can make a list of blue chip players that are untradeable. Then we know who can't be traded, and if they are traded then it must be of equal value (I.e. each other)
