is this not going to be to complicated fr people?

I don't have the time but can someone update my post with all relevant figures, ie the 2013 franchise tag numbers, the correct drfat values, as well as all relevant links, like spotrac, and then also the original round tender for RFA.

Also maybe edit the cutting and trading explanations to ensure people understand that you ooh save the base salary not the bonus parts of their cap number.
I will edit/revise the rules at some point today with all the info and create a Rules thread so every one can have an easy place to refer to. It probably wont be up till tonight but I will try and make it as clear as possible. As things change I will edit it.

Don't make the thread til its finalised, post it in here and update it until we agree we've covered everything. I also don't think an original round tender should be one star, if you have a first round pick and he's a RFA you can original round tender him for one star, which is less than putting a round 1 tender on him.

Original round tenders should only work for people drafted round three and below for this reason.

When you post trades, please use the exact pick numbers from here. Count the forfeited picks to make it easier. This will save me a lot of time. Thanks.

I was thinking a thread purely for discussion on the Rules and as we come to change them I can revise the first post. Than people wont have to scavenge through the discussion thread to get filled in on rule discussions and changes and where they can inquire. As there will be many throughout the entire process

however I will put it here first

Here it is. Please note that you can't use the original round tender on UDFAs.

1st rd: 3 stars
but again, we shouldn't be allowed to original round tender any RFA drafted in rounds 1 or 2. Granted most first and second rounders signed five year deals and thus are Ufa, but there might be one or two, and its def an issue in future years when every player will be a RFA after their rookie deal because they only sign four year deals

I say we keep simple and stick to the 3 levels of choice. Mainly as you said there should be few if any 1st or 2nd round RFAs for us to deal with

We also need to put a clear deadline on RFA, erfa, and franchise tendering, I'd say at least a week, then take a few days to gather ourselves and hit free agency maybe in 10 days to 2 weeks.

All this starting from after we finalise the rules of course, not today

Players and team cap for Ravens just switch teams and go to "2013 Cap Hits" for your team

You want us to count the forfeited picks as in what exactly? The Ravens pick at 62 instead of 64?

http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/2013/nfl_draft_order_full.cfm

I like this site to keep things easy. It gives you the entire list, who has what pick in what round, and what pick it is in that round and it includes the forfeited/traded picks.
put in a clause that of the player was originally drafted in round 1 or 2 we will look into it more and then decide what method, because its not fair to someone like the ravens being charged three to first round pitta, when say I dunno someone else like Hernandez was a first round pick yet the pats can original tender him, and only pay half that yet still both our first round picks if someone else wanted to snag them.
yes I don't see why not if you know now, but we need a from deadline for everyone to see in the final rules thread where all the rules will be in one post. A firm deadline that no one can debate, but in the interim period, I have no issue with people tagging and tendering dudes now but they'll have to keep track of everything for a state of the franchise post

Wait till we have the State of the Franchise Threads up (Depth and Rosters) and the Rules thread out first please. It would be nice to have everyone near or on the same page

At safety's up for trade? Defensive tackles? Running backs?
Michael Turner is available at running back. So is Peria Jerry at defensive tackle.
just so everyone under stands this, dubs you can re write this in a better worded paragraph when you update the list.

The starting cap number for your team is the top 51 contracts, plus dead money, less cap carried over. Assume all teams carry over what they are allowed.

Then if you cut or trade someone you only save the base salary, their bonus amt sits there as dead money.

I can't do much to help out, laptop is down ATM I'm on my phone that's why I'm delegating dubs to do the rules. Try gabe, he's been involved before, at least then its split out between you dubs jo and him.

So according to that site, my total salary is at 95,725,231 used of 127 stars? (This is before I account for the Tebow and Monroe trades)

Would I translate that to 95.7 stars used out of 127 Stars?
if that's what the bottom line figure is then yes, but also remember your leaving 5.5 stars for the draft. So tech your starting number is 95.5 plus 5.5 so 101.

What I was saying with the trades is that the Ravens would have pick 64 not 62. I find it easier to figure out the pick number when each round is at 32 picks. Obviously, those teams aren't getting their pick back, its just making it easier for me.
