49er fans complaining

217 posts in this topic

That's right, complain about a no-call on a play where our defender was shoved to the ground. This is like Torrey's catch against Pittsburgh, when everyone complained that Torrey pushed off on a play where the CB was flagged. Our WRs have been getting mugged all year and everyone's up in arms as soon as they lay a finger on someone. Clearly just a lack of knowing the rules.

i found this the other day:

http://imgur.com/a/SGoSi#0

i used it to illustrate to a ranting 49ers fan that it was without question the right call, and if anybody initiated illegal contact, it was michael crabtree. the pass was clearly overthrown and i don't think any receiver could have caught that ball and come down with both feet in anyway. but if michael crabtree had spent half the energy trying to catch the ball that he did in pushing jimmy off, he might have had a chance. 49ers fan was quiet after that
That's awesome!! Saving that for future use haha

i also found it interesting that crabtree did not lobby for a flag, not one bit. if he felt there should be a penalty, on the final play that would decide the game, i'm guessing he would have asked for one... he knew he was in the wrong. but the refs made the right call and a lot of officiating experts outside the game were inclined to agree, including mike pereira

ps. nice to see another canadian here :] where are you from man?

That's good stuff right there. Seeing it in real time live during the game I thought Crabtree initiated all the contact then pushed Smith down by the face. I would have been irate if a flag was thrown on Smith.

I have found out if you just let it go and ignore them, you'll feel so much better. I can't believe the number of fans of other teams who have sent me messages saying, "And that's why we call them the 40-whiners .. ignore them, we do."

Barring that, you can watch this and giggle:

It's always tough for the Super Bowl losers.. Let them vent, just ignore their rants, they will be fine.

I wouldnt usually agree with you as of late, but you're right. If we had lost, this place would be in the worst meltdown since Chernobyl. Let them moan and whine. I just stick my fingers in my ears and say "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA".

They got dealt with plain and simple. I guess that Turkey Night [profanity deleted]-whooping was a fluke, too? And yes, it was a whooping because Flacco threw a TD and Leach assaulted Willis on national TV.

Kiss the rings, Kaepernot!

There will always be crappy fans for every team. Don't let the most vocal of the fan base blow it for the rest of us. ( i mean we are not called whinners just cause it rhymes lol) Like I said before and I will say it again. the team that comes out to play for four quarters wins the game. Ravens played for four quarters the niners play for 2. End of story. For the guy who says Kaepernick is a choke artist??? 302 yards passing with 68 yards running and a rushing TD (longest in SB history) begs to differ. That is my only rant about the niners. You may here a bunch about a holding on Crabtree at the end of the game. Well Bowman had a PI against White in the Falcons game that would of extended their drive.Ravens were the better team and they deserved the win.

Niner fan for life. Ray Lewis fan for life.

Fair enough. I never said Kap was a choker, too early in his career to tell.
At least you are a good sport

thanks Mr. I. It is a hard loss to swallow. And remember all these networks are trying to pull every bit of BS out of the niners or the coach by stiring the pot. My personel opinion on the crabtree hold is this. What ever they ref called would of been correct. If they called a hold I would of agreed with it. They didn't and I agree with the call. The refs let the players play all game. ( I.E the third down throw to Tory Smith or the late hit on Flacco) FYI I know you never talked crap about Kaep. It was on another post. Just remember anything niner fans say from here on out is because they are poor sports. (unless they are accepting the loss of course lol.) Im actually hoping we can get Ngata if you dont resign him lol. I know im dreaming.

LOL ya well the talk radio jocks were also the ones who were loudest when talking about Sean Hill ( ya i know you probably dont remember him) Our team is a great team just like the Ravens. I am just hoping that the Refs fix the issue with fumbles and Receptions. Watching NFL network they pointed out it still very vague. glad to see i can have a good talk with some true football fans.
Certainly I do, I'm also a Maryland Terrapins fan lol :229031_cheer: They also need to work on the whole defenseless receiver thing too. If a guy lowers his head to draw the penalty not fair to the D. As an RN and a mom I am glad they are taking head injuries seriously, but there has to be a happy medium. There will always be the human element and things will get missed and that really sucks if it goes against you.
A lot of the hostile Ravens fans were from the beating we have been taking by other fan bases and the media since December, y'all did not see a fraction of the crap that was out there lol We have fans from several teams that are 'regulars' here

I can't believe that some people think that the NFL conspired to have the Ravens to win the SB. Really?

Obviously they don't remember how hard it was trying to get a team BACK to Baltimore. The fight we had to put up against the NFL was unreal. Then to say the NFL wanted the team, with one of the smallest media markets, to win the SB is laughable. The NFL doesn't get much out of Baltimore Football. WE HAVE TO TAKE WHAT WE EARNED and that's all folks!

Another interesting point about the Crabtree play is it shows the evolution of Jimmy's football IQ. If you listen to SoundFX you hear Crabtree telling Kaep "I'm too big, just throw it up too me." First of all, between Crab's 'too big', VD's smack talking to Ray, everything Chris Culliver has done in the past 3 weeks, and Gore's comments about the Ravens being too old and then his moaning after the game I am so happy we humbled that arrogant, arrogant team. All the hype did them a disservice because they clearly let it go to their heads. Back to Jimmy, if you read between the lines of Crab's aforementioned comment it's clear that he was pushing off our DBs when he had the chance. Jimmy understood that and, being the same size as Crab, used his body to make an outstanding play. Kudos Mr. Smith, can't wait to see your continued evolution.

Are some of the worst I have ever seen.... They complain even more than us. They were talking about SF blowout and the almighty Kap. Well, we beat them, and all you here is this. They know btw it wasn't a hold

Flacco is a choke artist
Worst team to ever win a SB
Flacco and his puny arm threw lobs to Boldin all game. QB is overrated, and Boldin = MVP
Flacco had one of the worst games ever for a QB in the SB
Ray Lewis isn't a HOF. Willis is, but Rays career is ruined.
If anything, this game showed Kap was elite
That D isn't good enough to win another...

You think you all have it bad? I live here
I just have to take apart the 40 whinners lame complaints, because they are that irrational.

"Flacco is a choke artist"

I would like for them to point out exactly when Flacco choked in a high stakes game. He played well in New England last year to send the team to the Superbowl (Cundiff choked in that game). Flacco also played well in the AFC Championship game in Pittsburg(might have won that game if TJ wouldn't have dropped a 1st down pass by flacco in the final drive of the game). So what the whinners say have no merit.

"Flacco and his puny arm threw lobs to Boldin all game. QB is overrated, and Boldin = MVP"

What games are these fools watching? Even Flacco's professional critics admit that Joe has a canon for an arm. The Jacobi Jones play in Denver was evidence of that. Furthermore, Joe didn't throw it to Boldin all game, but what if he did? Every quarterback has their primary weapon, after Rice it's Boldin. What if Raven Fans said that Kap threw to Crabtree all game, it would sound silly, because it doesn't matter.

"Flacco had one of the worst games ever for a QB in the SB"

Then I guess Flacco was awarded the worst MVP title then for his effort.

"
Ray Lewis isn't a HOF. Willis is, but Rays career is ruined."

Ray is a first ballot hall of famer, 2 times superbowl winner., 13 times named to the probowl, 3 times AFC Defensisve player of the year, MVP of Superbowl XXXV, 2 times NFL Player of the Year, and on and on and on.

"If anything, this game showed Kap was elite":

lol, what it showed is that the Ravens's defense had a hard time stopping the pistol after the power outage but they did in the first half. I'm sure most teams will have an answer to the pistol come next season, then we will see how elite Kaep is, when he's forced to be a pocket QB.

"That D isn't good enough to win another..."

I'm sure they thought that the Raven's D wasn't good enough to win this superbowl, so their credibility is already shot. lol

Oh well, send the San Fran crybabies some pudding and some Rice A Roni or something. There is always next season. lol

I'll only addres this point (even though the others are wrong too); RE: Flacco's "puni [sic] arm - if you take EVERYTHING else away from him but his arm, he's arguably has the strongest in the league.

More so than this soap-on-a-rope type.... the NFL talking heads are gushing about of Kaep's (still strong though as we all could see).

I'm also ignoring the majority of talking heads. Half of those fools are STILL putting Matt Ryan ahead of Joe on a QB list. Wow. And I love how so many of them almost swallowed their tongue when Donovan McNabb placed Joe as the #5 QB in the NFL. Whatever .... he's got the wins .. he's got the records ... his playoff run this year is better than Joe Montana stat wise. Keep crowning Matt Ryan all you want ... I think he's going to end up like Marino, except never actually making it to a SB.

Donovan's list, btw:

1. Tom Brady
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. Drew Brees
4. Peyton Manning
5. Joe Flacco
6. Eli Manning
7. Matt Ryan
8. Ben Roesthlisberger
9. Tony Romo
10. Matt Schaub

It really is an odd situation in regards to 49er fans. Having not dealt with them too much, it confused me that sooooooo many fans of other teams came in to wish us luck in the SB and every one of them called them 40-whiners. I totally understand now.
my thoughts exactly. haven't dealt with them too too much over the years but since Jim became their head coach and since we beat them twice now, a rivalry seems to be brewing. those whom don't fare too well in a game..especially one like the Superbowl, always come out and bash, trash and degrade the opposing team that won the contest. its something ALL fans do, including Raven fans at times lol. its just part of the game. its part of the baggage that comes with being in the league. :wootwoot: :th_shemademe-2:

Jim Harbaugh was really good to the rec football program in NW Balto Co giving autographed stuff for auctions and all when he was a Raven. I have no hate for any fan base right now lol
