Steelers set to implode

14 Million over cap. Will probably lose every free agent and need to cut some key players who won't take less money. Let this be a lesson in why we don't restructure contracts. Can't wait for them to implode.

Restructure, restructure, restructure and it will lead to this. It's why Ozzie said he is very reluctant to do so unless it's absolutely necessary and he's sure the player he is restructuring is worth it.
I hope he means a LT.
Still, the Steelers are in dire straits. I'm interested to see how they get everything taken care of, especially considering the weaknesses in their team. That OL still sucks, and that defense is getting really old. I don't think most of those younger guys they have are capable of being starters.

Ours has become the best rivalry in football (if people argue against that they're just being silly) and I wouldn't want it to fall away because of a poor job on the part of the Steelers Front Office.
I don't want to be 2-0 on the season against them because they suck, I want to be 2-0 against them on the season because we're that good.
Having this rivalry fall off would be pretty bad for the league, since it provides two premier match-ups every season.

Really? I'm kinda tired of them. Tired of their ugly colors, ugly field, broken quarterback... I'm even tired of thinking about them. Pittsburgh had their time and I'd be just fine if they had a few bad years in a row.As much as I should enjoy this, I don't.

I get that, but it would just take away a lot of the joy we get when we beat them. Curb-stomping them every time just wouldn't be that good, in my opinion. It's just like I get no real joy out of beating the Browns because, well, they're the Browns.

Wile I admit I loved it when we completely destroyed them, the BEST Ravens v. steelers games were the ones that were fought to the bitter end.

I'd rather sweep them and have them go 0-16 then sweep them and have them go 14-2. I do like beating good teams, but there are only a set amount of wins each year. The more the Steelers lose, the more likely it is that it contributes to another team looking "great". I'll be more than happy to beat them.I get that, but it would just take away a lot of the joy we get when we beat them. Curb-stomping them every time just wouldn't be that good, in my opinion. Coming from a Ravens fan, I highly doubt a Pittsburgh fan would care about my opinion. But, there comes a point where it's actually better to shed this dead money, now, than prolong a return to success. I mean, is keeping the likes of Ryan Clark, Larry Foote, Casey Hampton, James Harrison or Ben Keisel together, at this point, really worth it, especially when you factor-in their contracts and their age? Oh, and I guess it doesn't help the team's salary cap when Troy Polamalu is getting hurt, all the time, either...
Anyways, their franchise is gonna...

But this rivalry isn't going anywhere. Both teams draft too well and both teams have good QBs.
