Who are the other CBs? I dont know any of their names. Do you?
Keenen Lewis did good last year, he's just entering his prime and they probaby won't be able to afford resigning him! ....Also Cortez Allen is an alright NB.

I love it watching them suffer.

Just peeked at their forum & Steelers fans are worried about the restructuring as well.

as much as it pains me to say this, I hope the steelers recover. as others have said, this is the most heated rivalry in the NFL. to have it fall off its wagon would be tragic for not only the steelers, but also for anyone who likes football in general.

that being said, i think we sweep them next year.
nonsense. I doubt Steelers fans would be hoping we rebounded if we ever found ourselves in a similar situation. Let them lay in the bed they've made. Until they do recover, I'll enjoy watching their locker room fall apart and their cap situation go up in flames.

And them lose tons of games to us and fall to the bottom of the AFC. Not just the AFCN

it will be fun to watch their collapse, but i still think that we'd be missing out on two very well contested games if they do. as you can see by looking at the AFCE and the AFCW, it doesn't do you much good to play in a weaker conference.

They might be on the downslide but that'll make them an even peskier team. They'd get crushed in every other game but they'd know to play 150% when its Ravens - Steelers no matter their record

This. Just read their thread about Flacco's contract. It's all about how we'll be crippled by the salary, and lots of "yeah, we're back on top" like they actually have cap room or something lol

That's hilarious with all the restructuring they've done, Joe could be making $30M/yr before we were even near them.

A lot of them fans still believe that the FO have been doing the restructuring for so many years and nothing really affects them yet; the time bomb won't go off right away but in time it will set to explode...

PS: I love the fact that the Steelers are living the past....lol

14 Million over cap. Will probably lose every free agent and need to cut some key players who won't take less money. Let this be a lesson in why we don't restructure contracts. Can't wait for them to implode.
Even worse, they doomed themselves further with restructuring players again. They'll be in the same gutter by next year.

Hope we dont make the same mistake

The year Ben retires there could be 20 mil dead money they way they are pushing this off
I 100% agree with this. The Steelers o-line is an annual problem for them. I have a feeling that Ben may be forced into early retirement by injury. If this happens, they are going to have a ton of dead money (and no QB) to deal with.

I get that, but it would just take away a lot of the joy we get when we beat them. Curb-stomping them every time just wouldn't be that good, in my opinion. It's just like I get no real joy out of beating the Browns because, well, they're the Browns.
Let's not knock it until we have tried it. Curb stomping them for one season could be fun. Besides, I really do not think you have anything to worry about. In one maybe two seasons they will be back to their annoying, pain in the keister ways, and be giving us a hard fight. Regrettably, they never stay down long.In many ways they are like we are. Too tough to knuckle under. The rivalry will be renewed.

The Steelers problem is they still see their core players from 4-5 years ago as a SB capable roster. They dont realize age/injuries go hand in hand in the NFL. Ben is still a great QB, but unless that Oline really comes together they will struggle to make the playoffs yet again.

After that serious injury, I think you maybe right. His injury hurt them bigtime, he had great potential. Maybe he can come back and still be a starter.

They resigned Plaxico and Foote today. IMHO, Plaxico is not the same player, he had to be cheap.
With a restructure for the underachieving Woodley!

Almost did a back-flip. Two scrubs!

Yeah they are not impressing me with their moves. I hope I still feel the same way after their draft :)

WR Emanuel Sanders has reportedly signed an offer sheet with the Patriots. Steelers would have 5 days to match it or will receive the Patriots 3rd round pick:

Either the steelers fork out money to keep him or they lose a good receiver. The 3rd round pick won't make up for it. Seems like a lose-lose for them.

Sanders could never stay healthy. I mean they need all the draft pick they can get and when you can get a guy like Quinton patton or maybe even Markus wheaton, it may not be all that bad.

They really need to draft a receiver if they let Sanders get away. Those names you mentioned won't be available at the end of the 3rd though. I think most likely they match the offer.

Well apparently someone spoke too soon. With a shortage of draft picks (only 5) NE has not yet put together an offer sheet for Sanders. Doesn't mean they won't, but as of right now they haven't yet.
