I like him he is my favorite receiver in the draft. His stock is a bit up in the air right now but will surely go up once the combine comes around...just wanted to get some people's thoughts on him.

I love Justin Hunter I think he's a great second round prospect because of durability and hands concerns. The track video was impressive.

He's a huge target. He'll move up the draft from the combine - not that I think he's a "combine stud". He's worthy of a 1st rounder going by tape alone.

The potential is certainly there but he's so raw. These two articles from November last year did a pretty good job breaking down his game:

Thats the same EXACT stuff they said about Stephen Hill last year and he caught 2TDs in his first game...from the butt fumbler himself Mark Sanchez I might add hahaha
I agree that Hunter still needs a bit of work...but he has the ability to make an impact in his first year in the NFL. He has speed physicality and decent hands that will suffice enough to get him some decent production and growth while he studies the game more, and works on the fundamentals.

I've been on Jets boards and they tell me Hill can't catch to save his life. Hunter is a far better catching prospect, he's not great at it but he isn't terrible at it either.

Remember how mad all of us were at Torrey's hands as a rookie?...I even told Torrey Smith when I got the chnace to talk to him I nicknamed him Glass Hands Torrey, and that he has come a looong way since then. And he laughed.

The question is, how is his work ethic?? I've heard that he has a serious drive and that he works extremely hard to get better at his craft day in and day out. Remember someone named Torrey Smith?? Yeah, the guy who we all pretty much downed because of his supposed lack of hands and less than average route running ability?? Yep, he's the same exact guy who is a playmaker on our O and who we craft our offensive pass attack around. Work ethic means everything when you have natural ability but still raw.

Hill then proceeded to do next to nothing the rest of the year and it wasn't just because of the dire situation at QB.

I'm just not impressed with Hunter. He isn't noticeably physical and there are too many holes in his game to warrant being picked in the 1st round.

Well hill got injured in his first game..his knee and that basically wrecked his season. He did catch another TD later in the season but for the most part he was injured. I agree that Hunter is raw and needs work, but think he could make an impact in the future. I said last year about Hill that its funny that his physicality and speed and combine work could make his stock rise from a 3rd/4th round prospect to a 2nd rounder.

I respect your opinion, but ask who is your favorite receiver in the draft?

I like Justin Hunter. He the same(not height wise 6'4) as when we drafted torrey smith 2 years ago(in 2nd round) he had everything you want in a WR but he was raw and had decent hands not always catching the ball with his hands but with his body and he learned alot from Q, because torrey's first year he droped a lot of passes rememeber and he just needed to trust his hands and thats what he did with his 2nd year just snatching the ball out the air now and he trustes himself to got out there and make plays. so i think we can work with hunter and maybe him nd torrey and Q, pitta,Streeter, Doos, lawd have mercy watch out league ravens WR's are coming for you LOL!!

True, the injury affected Hill the rest of his season. I agree Hunter could be an impact player in the future because he's got the talent but I'm wary of long, speedy, inconsistent WRs like him.

My favourite WR prospect is Patterson, even though he's just as, if not more raw than Hunter. He's got all the physical tools of #1 target and is easily one of the best WRs with the ball in his hands I've seen in years. He's always looking to pick up yards after the catch and is so natural doing it.

If we end up releasing Boldin, then Hunter would be on my list. If not, then I don't see the need to burn such an early pick on a receiver.

Hunter is about 6 or 7 for me at the WR position. I would definitely consider him at the end of the second round, but not before that.

Torrey had good hands in college though, his first few drops as a rookie were an exception to the rule. It's not uncommon to see players streak one way or another but generally speaking you can't improve catching.

Hes kind of a funny receiver to watch after the catch, kind of reminds you of Ed Reed after an interception...always looking and waiting for blocks and moving back and forth all over the field. He looks like a good prospect

This kid looks good and he can jump out the gym. Seeing what Jim Hostler did with Torrey, I love the potential in Justin.

I respectfully disagree. Smith was known for his drops & body catches. But what made Smith better is his desire to be better. I'm not sure if Hunter has that.
