I love Justin Hunter I think he's a great second round prospect because of durability and hands concerns. The track video was impressive.I like him he is my favorite receiver in the draft. His stock is a bit up in the air right now but will surely go up once the combine comes around...just wanted to get some people's thoughts on him.

Losers always say "Next time's gonna be different!". That's right, next time you're gonna lose again.

Thats the same EXACT stuff they said about Stephen Hill last year and he caught 2TDs in his first game...from the butt fumbler himself Mark Sanchez I might add hahahaThe potential is certainly there but he's so raw. These two articles from November last year did a pretty good job breaking down his game:

I agree that Hunter still needs a bit of work...but he has the ability to make an impact in his first year in the NFL. He has speed physicality and decent hands that will suffice enough to get him some decent production and growth while he studies the game more, and works on the fundamentals.

I've been on Jets boards and they tell me Hill can't catch to save his life. Hunter is a far better catching prospect, he's not great at it but he isn't terrible at it either.Thats the same EXACT stuff they said about Stephen Hill last year and he caught 2TDs in his first game...from the butt fumbler himself Mark Sanchez I might add hahaha

Remember how mad all of us were at Torrey's hands as a rookie?...I even told Torrey Smith when I got the chnace to talk to him I nicknamed him Glass Hands Torrey, and that he has come a looong way since then. And he laughed.I've been on Jets boards and they tell me Hill can't catch to save his life. Hunter is a far better catching prospect, he's not great at it but he isn't terrible at it either.

Hill then proceeded to do next to nothing the rest of the year and it wasn't just because of the dire situation at QB.
I'm just not impressed with Hunter. He isn't noticeably physical and there are too many holes in his game to warrant being picked in the 1st round.

Well hill got injured in his first game..his knee and that basically wrecked his season. He did catch another TD later in the season but for the most part he was injured. I agree that Hunter is raw and needs work, but think he could make an impact in the future. I said last year about Hill that its funny that his physicality and speed and combine work could make his stock rise from a 3rd/4th round prospect to a 2nd rounder.Hill then proceeded to do next to nothing the rest of the year and it wasn't just because of the dire situation at QB.

I respect your opinion, but ask who is your favorite receiver in the draft?

True, the injury affected Hill the rest of his season. I agree Hunter could be an impact player in the future because he's got the talent but I'm wary of long, speedy, inconsistent WRs like him.
My favourite WR prospect is Patterson, even though he's just as, if not more raw than Hunter. He's got all the physical tools of #1 target and is easily one of the best WRs with the ball in his hands I've seen in years. He's always looking to pick up yards after the catch and is so natural doing it.

Torrey had good hands in college though, his first few drops as a rookie were an exception to the rule. It's not uncommon to see players streak one way or another but generally speaking you can't improve catching.

Hes kind of a funny receiver to watch after the catch, kind of reminds you of Ed Reed after an interception...always looking and waiting for blocks and moving back and forth all over the field. He looks like a good prospectTrue, the injury affected Hill the rest of his season. I respectfully disagree. Smith was known for his drops & body catches. But what made Smith better is his desire to be better. I'm not sure if Hunter has that.Torrey had good hands in college though, his first few drops as a rookie were an exception to the rule. It's not uncommon to see players streak one way or another but generally speaking you can't improve catching.
