This is it, the start of free agency in my opinion. Teams can now begin placing the Franchise Tag on players and have two weeks to get a long term contract done with that player to free up the tag for someone else. Elway has stated that LT Ryan Clady will receive the Franchise Tag if not for a long term contract.

It seems like everyone and their mothers are lobbying for Dwight Freeney to join their teams, Roddy White took to twitter saying he wants him to play for Atlanta. I think if Freeney had a choice he would play for the Giants...he said it would be "a dream".

Yeah but do they really need him? They have Tuck and JPP already so I doubt he would be a starter for them, and the same goes for Denver. I would think he would like to go a team where he can start as a 4-3 DE.

The Browns have also said they didn't trade for Smith. Most likely as soon as Free Agency Opens, Smith to the Chiefs will be the first trade in free agency.

With a good OL, a weak division, and a QB guru like Andy Reid, that is actually Smith's best chance to succeed outside of Jim Harbaugh's tutelage.

Yep the Chiefs will end up with a quarterback with the last name of Smith on the roster after all, but not Geno Smith lol. I have heard they may Franchise Bowe again and are interested in Joeckel but are also in talks with Brandon Albert to re-sign.
