What? The camera just caught an extremely emotional moment between Joe and Yanda. Do they even know how hard it was to get there and win the Super bowl? This isn't on a stage or during an interview, but between two team mates standing in a huge crowd of people. How is Joe to blame for this and not the guy filming him?

Errr...the story is about how CBS may face a fine for airing the audio of Joe cursing. Not Joe being fined.

Yeah I realized it just after I posted it and then you were too fast correcting me. But why read that article anyway? I am way to busy posting about how psyched I am about us winning to even pay attention. So I stand by it. It's the cameraman's fault. :)

"Joe Flacco, you just won the Super Bowl. What are you going to do now?"

"___in' awesome!!"

Oh, if only that was the sound clip they used.

They're football players, they're going to throw around some language especially after the biggest game of their lives.

Exactly. Plus, this will only be the second biggest game of Joe's career ;) ;)

As an advocate for truly free speech on television, this is ridiculous. Not their fault Flacco talks like a normal person and some people can't put things into the appropriate context for their children.

Besides, that occurred after 10 pm which is outside of the 'decency' hours established by the FCC and even then the fine would be overturned. Uppity parents need to learn to calm down, one F bomb that was barely audible is not going to corrupt their children.

I'm sorry, but... if people heard the words my 8 year old former neighbors were using with each other, this would SO not be a big deal.

And even if a kid doesn't know that word, what are they doing up at, what, 11 at night?

I'd be okay with this if the FCC were just being consistent and doing what they'd always do. But, that article says it's the Parents Television Council who are pushing for the fine.

"'The FCC must step up to its legal obligation to enforce the law, or families will continue to be blindsided,' said PTC president Tim Winter."

Really? Blindsided? Was this really a travesty? Find something important to fight for.

Nope. Still gotta pretend like you're a movie on basic cable and use those replacement words.

Could you imagine the amount of trolls on here if cursing was aloud? Alot more people would get offended easily, and the whole friendly environment wouldn't be here. Once they'd get rid of that rule there would basically be no rules. More nfl fans will sign up and abuse it... I like the [profanity deleted] profanity filter. It shows more class imo.

Anyway I'm glad CBS could receive a fine. Even though they had nothing to do with the power (who knows) I still didn't appreciate the couple minutes of silence, (that felt like hours) which directly followed. Words couldn't describe how mad/frustrated I was at that point. A few Joe Flacco quotes from Superbowl week could sum it up though. ;)

The Parents Television Council is a joke; they're the same group that pressured sponsors to drop their ads from WWF (now WWE) programming by using misleading footage, only to be successfully sued by WWE years later for defamation.

I don't think a fine is coming for CBS.

Only if you win a SB but I do appreciate the conundrum of the 'higher standard'

Hopefully they've learned their lesson and will put their feed on a 10 second delay. :D
