America's Game Segment

John, Joe, and Ray L. The only way I see Lewis not being on it is because he was in the first one. If so, then I think it should be Suggs then Reed. Suggs would put on a better interview IMO

Here's an interesting name to throw in there that hasn't been mentioned...Matt Birk. He is a very intelligent guy who is a very good speaker. Also he could speak to how the Oline came together over the season and formed a dominant unit in the playoffs.

Other than that I'm sure Harbaugh, Suggs, Flacco and Rice will be a part of it.

Ill get murdered for this, pun intended, but I'd rather 52 not be on it. He's just so intense and his message is so known that I'd rather have a fresh perspective on the whole season. We all know what 52s gonna say. And we love him for that. Can we get a new take for this historic documentary?

If it's only 3 then I gotta go with Harbs, Joe, and either Anquan or Jacoby. Q was our consistent playmaker but Jacoby made a few huge plays. I think Jacoby will get it just based on his catch in mile high alone

Kevin Byrne should be the fourth.
That's something that hadn't even crossed my mind until now! The more I think about it, the more I like it. Ernie Accorsi — the old PR Director for the Baltimore Colts — was interviewed for the America's Game episode on the 1970 team that won Super Bowl V. He was extremely insightful, and I have every bit of confidence that Kevin Byrne would be as well. (Always love reading the Byrne Identity)

In terms of the others, Harbaugh and Flacco have to be there. And Jacoby Jones as the fourth?

We all know the first 3 are harbs, lewis, and flacco.. theres no debating that. but for the 4th spot, ed reed HAS to get it. i would feel so bad to see anyone else getting it even my man Jacoby.

Ray has already been there and was also absent for a large majority of the year. Ed/Jacoby/Anquan probably has a much better story to tell. that said, i doubt they would leave ray off though. even if he missed the entire reg season and only played the postseason, they'd still probably put him on there. I love Ray but not seeing the guys that really defined this season and our team does leave me feeling something is missing. Boldin and Jacoby basically WERE our postseason run and i would feel empty to leave them out.

Oh, I was under the impression it was just 3 but I'm probably wrong. I'd prefer ALL OF THEM if I could choose that. I also agree that Lewis had his turn, but this team was so based on his retirement that it would feel wrong if he didn't speak at least a little bit.

I'd normally agree, but honestly, the season was about Ray Lewis as soon as he announced his retirement. He has to be included pretty much for that reason alone.
Hell yeah case closed!

Flacco is just too boring for TV. I think it has to be Boldin, Harbs, and Suggs. That would be the most entertaining, anyway... Jacoby would be awesome too!!

well as of last year they dont only use 3. they used 4 for the giants, and another first, they used the same speakers twice(eli and coughlin)

but ill stick to the old rules of 3 people who havent done it already.

i want harbaugh, flacco, and a surprise speaker like jacoby or boldin, just someone you wouldnt expect. but in al fairness, suggs would have a ton to say with his injuries and his outspoken, confrontational personality, and ed reed is absolutely hilarious, and hes the greatest safety of all time, finally getting a ring in the tail end of his career. BUT performance wise, and being the hero in the biggest moments, it would only be fair for jacoby or boldin to get that 3rd slot in my opinion, the plays those 2 made in our playoff run were unbelievable, and it would be deserved.

but lets be real, its gonna be the QB in this QB driven league, the well spoken, well groomed, rah-rah passionate coach, and ray lewis speaking, and there is literally no chance that anything else will happen, i just would LOVE to see Q or jacobes get a chance to speak because they earned it

oh and not to mention.. after watching a football life with ray, and after the past season hearing him talk constantly... i will start losing my fandom towards ray if i have to hear him talk about god one more time. seriously, you dont hear atheists shoving their beliefs down peoples throats OVER AND OVER on tv, and not that it offends people, but for the people who dont share those beliefs, and even for the people WHO DO share those beliefs, that kinda talk has gotten incredibly annoying. just an opinion

I don't want four spots. I only want three. First because AG is such a great series, and since I'm totally used to seeing three, I don't want unnecessary change. Secondly, because it gives each guy more time to talk.

My hope is for Joe/Harbs/Reed.

I'm almost certain Joe gets the nod because of defeating his critics, claiming he's the best, the Cam/Caldwell situation, the postseason run etc.... I also think you can't ignore Harbs because he faced Jim in the SB and because he would have insight on the Cam situation as well. Lastly, Reed because he's a future first ballot HoFer. I would've wanted Suggs as the third guy, but he missed a good chunk of time and was never healthy, thus he was never in all pro form at any one point this season.

I feel like America's Game has started going downhill over the last few years. The music has gotten worse, the personalities have gotten much more boring (Tuck last year, Rodgers/Woodson/McCarthy the year before) and just the overall epicness has plummeted. I think with such meaty storylines and such a character filled locker room, we can seriously fix that.

Jacoby deserves to be one of them, he made the 3 biggest plays of the postseason.. Without him we aren't having this discussion
He would certainly be entertaining.
