Ok so I thought this may be fun with the season over.

So for however long you have been following the draft attempt to look back (as best you can) at our picks and who you wanted when we were on the board. This could be rather embarrassing or a huge ego booster.

Template: Who Ravens took | Who I wanted when we were on the clock - Thoughts

2012 Draft
1) Courtney Upshaw | Courtney Upshaw - I would not have traded back (Ozzie +1)
2) Kelechi Osemele | Mohamed Sanu - Liked the Osemele pick but Sanu was a beast (Ozzie +1)
3) Bernard Pierce | Akiem Hicks - Canadian thing, but I was not happy with this pick (Ozzie +1)
- Overall I was outshined, and I really wanted Ronell Lewis too

2011 Draft
1) Jimmy Smith | Cameron Heyward/Muhammed Wilkerson - If Smith stays healthy stud, Wilkerson is special though (Even - as I probably would have taken Heyward)
2) Torrey Smith | Torrey Smith - I was an advocate of his small hands (Even)
3) Jah Reid | Christian Ballard - I really had a thing for Ballard that year, he has done well, neither amazing (Even)
- Overall I did ok, as did Oz

2010 Draft
1) Sergo Kindle | Jared Odrick - I would not have traded back (Me +1...I guess, Odrick has not been anything special)
2) Terrance Cody | Terrance Cody - skeptical pick overall, I still am behind it though (Even)
- Too many trades in this draft to consider all the options, did want Jimmy Graham though

2009 Draft
1) Michael Oher | Michael Oher - I was ecstatic when we traded up (Even)
2) Paul Kruger | Cornelius Ingram - Kruger is much better (Ozzie +1)
3) Lardarius Webb | Duke Robinson - Biggest reason why I am on a forum ( Ozzie +1)

2008 Draft
1) Joe Flacco | Joe Flacco - Wanted Flacco, Ozzie did some beaty trading (Ozzie +1)
2) Ray Rice | Patrick Lee or Charles Godfrey - yet another fail (Ozzie +1)

2007 Draft
1) Ben Grubbs | Lamar Woodley - Woodley was pure strength in college and played everywhere (Even)
3) Yamon Figurs | Tank Tyler - both are bad (Even)
3) Marsahl Yanda | Ray McDonald - both are studs, Yanda probably more impact (Even)

2006 Draft
1) Haloti Ngata | Haloti Ngata - I was sooo happy Cleveland swapped with us (Even)
2) Chris Chester | MJD - It was hard not to like him in college, better value Reggie Bush (Me +1)
3) David Pittman | Max Jean-Giles - Neither turned out but Giles was huge (Even)

2005 Draft
1) Mark Clayton | Mark Clayton - too this day I love him and he had great hands (Even)
2) Dan Cody | Dan Cody - Not many players had his hussle/production in college....(Even)
3) Adam Terry | Justin Tuck/Channing Crowder - Both better, Tuck was a freak at ND (Me +1)

Did not really pay too much attention before 2005 so I will stop here. Overall my track record sucks.

Wow, okay... Thank you for making this thread so I don't have to create it myself to gloat.

2012:
1st pick: Courtney Upshaw | Courtney Upshaw - Mocked him to us. (even)
2nd pick: Kelechi Osemele | Kelechi Osemele - Mocked him to us (even)
3rd pick: Bernard Pierce | Orson Charles - He had a 3rd round grade but ended up going in the 4th. Pierce is awesome though. I wasn't looking at RBs last offseason. (Ozzie +1)

After that who knows. You can never trust the grades on late-round picks. I had no idea which round the guys I wanted would land.

2011:
1st pick: Jimmy Smith | Jimmy Smith - He will be balling next year. If healthy. (even)
2nd pick: Torrey Smith | Justin Houston - Houston made the Pro Bowl. I'm happy to have Torrey though. (even maybe)
3rd pick: Jah Reid | Cecil Shorts - I wanted Shorts, but I thought he would go much later. So I put him here by defauly. He was the only guy I wanted who was picked before our 4th. I like both guys. (even)
4th pick: Tandon Doss | Tandon Doss - another guy I mocked to us. He's just buried in the depth chart. (Even)

2010:
1st pick: Sergio Kindle | no opinion
2nd pick: Terrance Cody | Terrance Cody - Cody was the only guy I wanted this whole draft. My first time actually paying attention to the draft. Not like I thought he should be pick #1. I just knew we'd take him. (even)

Yeah so I AM Ozzie apparently.

I said we would get Courtney Upshaw multiple times before the draft and almost nobody agreed with me. I did also want Titus Young over Torrey though. =D. That was my first real draft I followed and all I saw was a guy who thought he could break the 40 record with pretty solid hands. I was wrong.

I wanted Hankerson over Torrey..
Ronnell Lewis in the 3rd...
I wanted T Cody in 2010,Jimmy Smith 2011, Courtney last year... (I actually really wanted M. Wilkerson in 2011 as well, would've been happy with him as well that year). Not now though!
Really wanted Casey Mathews in 2011 as well...
I was right about Sam Acho, he's looked pretty good...

But I didn't know as much about it all as I do now. I was mostly just judging off scouting reports, gut feelings and cool names lol

I wanted us to trade up and take JJ Watt because I thought he was the best DL prospect since Ngata and would allow us to rush 3. Turns out, I was right. Only problem was I didn't expect him to go so high. I also love Jimmy Smith & wanted us to take him, too. I was right about both prospects, I suppose.

I also liked Torrey Smith. I didn't really get into the draft before that.

Last year, I was a big fan of Ronnell Lewis. I think it's too early to judge him. I also liked Alshon Jeffrey, Shea McClellin, Marvin McNutt, Nate Potter, Greg Childs, Chris Rainey, Sean Spence, Bobby Wagner, Lavonte David, Luke Kuechly. Shea was probably my favorite prospect, then Wagner. Some of them busted, some had great seasons, and some were injured/jury still out.

Prospects I have wanted were:
Gronkowski, but there was the scare about his back so this board was really divided. I still think that would have been a great pick, but I don't think Pitta would have turned out like he has, so I'm happy with the result.

I was really really excited about Eric Decker. Was told he was too slow. I guess on a team like the Broncos and their high power offence he looks good, but in reality Cam would have never used him right, and we would have cut him after using him only on special teams for 3 years.

Mario Harvey. Wanted this guy, thought he was the next coming. Was I ever wrong. Wow.

"Flacco got a hug from owner Bisciotti after game.. Flacco told him: “that felt good.. That was big”

That seems like it was worded wrong...

As far as the ravens I wanted rueben randle in the second last year after upshaw. I still think he will prove to be the best wideout from that class. A few years ago I thought dion lewis from pitt would be a huge star in the league..now just a change of pace barely used guy, oops. I also thought adrian peterson was the best running back coming out since lt. Nailed that one.

There was some serious love for Decker when he was coming out of Minnesota on some sites...It was hard not to love him after a while. Huge steal
